“I don't want to go!” Esme wined. She stomped her feet on the floor as her brother packed her things into a purple bookbag with little gems on the zippers.
“You don't have a choice. You're only seven. You have to do what mom and dad say.”, Calvin said with a heavy sigh. He was tired of her tantrum.
“First of allllll! Crystal is not my mommy, And SECOND”, she yelled, “I don't want to leave! It isn't fair! You get to stay!”
Calvin shrugged her off.“That's because they love me more than you.”
“No they don't!!”, Esme screamed.
“What is going on in here!”, Crystal asked as she walked into the room.
“Esmes being a baby again”, Calvin said, smirking. Esme just stayed silent. It was the new skeme she had to get Crystal to leave. She thought if she never talked while Crystal was in the room, they would miss hearing her talk and kick Crystal out. The poor thing didn't know how wrong she was. Half the time Calvin would call Crystal to the room just so Esme would stop talking. Her father didn't mind it much either.
“Esme, darling, why are you upset? Is it because you have to leave?” Crystal wasn't mean to Esme, but she could care less about her. Esme just stood there.
“She's having a fit because she doesn't want to leave. She's just being a baby”, Calvin said. Crystal sighed. She went and started to help Calvin with Esme’s things.
“You can't cry your way out of this Esme. You're leaving tomorrow morning and that's that.'', Crystal said sternly, “You’ll like it in Millenis. King Temari and Queen Ceila promised to take good care of you.” Tears fell off of Esme’s chin. She didn't want to leave. She wanted to stay with her dad and brother. She didn't want to be sent off to strangers.
