The only difference I noticed is I feel lighter than before. I wasn't carrying heavy things, but it almost feels like I don't carry anything at all.
I wonder how this new physical strength will affect my weapon usage. The pole hammer I use is a little heavy and causes problems against agile enemies like this Hobgoblin.
Let's try it now. I knelt to grab my pole hammer from the ground. I noticed the difference at the point I grabbed it. The heavy weapon that I can't control easily now feels light as a falchion.
I swing it a few times to test it. I have better control over it right now. Usually, after a few swings, I need to fix my stance a bit. Now, I don't need to do that even though my swings got faster.
I also feel energetic. I may even go to the dungeon right now. You know what, I go to that dungeon.
"Voice, we are going to the dungeon. Tell me everything I may need to know. What types of monsters sit habitats there, is my current power level enough to survive, what kind of gear I will gain from there."
I wonder how Voice answer this barrage of questions.
"Skeletal dungeon contains skeletal creatures. Nutrition and liquid can be found in most of the dungeons, no need to bring them with you. Carrying a bag with a large capacity suggested."
Huh? Did it tell me something useful? I won't even question this right now.
"Dungeon, here I come!" I raised my hammer to air after saying that.
As the berries effect wore off, I started to doubt my choice about going to the dungeon. Well, if the berries effect wore off before I got to the dungeon's gate, it will be better.
"Here goes nothing." I pushed the strange door and got inside the dungeon.
"Skeletal dungeon, entrance accepted," Voice said after I put my step inside.
Inside is warm as a house room. I don't need to find a heat source.
I put my hand on the walls of the dungeon. Even though it looks like a cave from the outside, inside resembles a human-built structure.
Now, I am looking at a long corridor. It is wide enough to allow me to swing my weapon freely. It is truly the work of an intelligent creature, not nature's miracle.
I started to walk deeper into the dungeon. One thing that amazed me is the banners used for decorating the walls. I touched the one, and it feels soft, and when I inspected the work on it, I was just stunned by the beauty of the work.
Golden-colored silks are shining with the light coming from the crystals set on the ceiling.
I wonder who protects a place like this. It shouldn't be ordinary skeletons. That will be a stupid thing to do.
...
It is normal skeletons that protecting this place. At least they armed better than ones on the outside. Still, how good they armed Skeletons are the weakest monster in this place.
It only takes one or two hits to crush their skulls, and the red bar above their head disappears.
The main problem is their amount. Usually, two or three Skeletons show up, but I am fighting against fifteen of them right now!
It is hard to kill them because I don't have much of an opening to attack them.
Piercing, crushing, separating the skull from the body are the only ways to kill a skeleton, but the amount blocking me from doing it.
"Voice, do you have any idea about how I could kill this amount of Skeletons?"
"An average human skeleton weighs around 10 kilograms." Even though it didn't directly say to me, I understand what it meant.
I need to separate them from each other because they are much weaker when alone, and I may know how to do it.
I changed the way I hold my weapon. Now, I am grabbing from the lower part of the handle to use physics laws in my favor.
I started to swing my weapon like crazy. My hits weren't killing any of them but were enough to throw them away from the group.
As the group separated from each other, I pulled a skeleton to close using the Crow beak as a hook. It stuck between his ribs, which allowed me to pull towards myself, then I released him and crushed his head with one strong attack.
"Fun fact time! The Bec de Corbin (Crow beak) is the part used most on the battlefield because of its ability to penetrate enemy armor. Hammer mostly put for balancing the weapon and not used much as a Crow beak."
Another skeleton approached me, so I penetrated his skull with Crow beak as a warming welcome.
Skeletons are the easiest monsters to kill! With their low speed and almost no existing intelligence, I can kill them one by one while the group watches me.
"You come closer, so I can turn your head into bone dust!" I pointed to a skeleton slowly walking away from me.
Meanwhile, chosen heroes are training in another dungeon.
"I need support! Where is our healer?" A boy carrying katana shouted.
"I am out of mana, you idiot." A blond girl answered.
"Why can't I just cut bones into pieces!" A boy using twin daggers screamed while scratching a skeleton's bone.
"I am also out of mana, no more fireball for the support!" A girl wearing a robe warns his teammates.
Hey, I am Achi Taginori. A student from japan transferred to this world. I come to this with other people as chosen heroes.
Today we are having our first battle training inside a level 1 dungeon, but it's not going well, as you see.
"As you see, slashing weapons don't do much of damage against a human's skeletal structure. That's why you always carry another weapon for any situation until you learn weapon technics."
The guy talked to right now is our mentor, who is responsible for our training. His name is Takaha, and he is one of the strongest guards in the castle, but soon I will surpass him with my cheat powers given by gods!
"Little help will be good, Takaha sensei." I blocked the attack of a skeleton with my sword.
"I can give you a training program. So you can improve your noodle arms." He loves teasing us, and what happens if I had weak arms. I can still swing my weapon!
We can leave these untrained teenagers who will fight against our military-trained adult protagonist one day and go back to the dungeon.
"Come here, don't you dare to escape from my wrath!" I cathed a skeleton who is trying to escape from me.
"Who's laughing now? You were fearless when you had a group of fifteen skeletons with you. I won't even use my weapon to kill you."
I started to hit the Skeleton's skull towards the wall until it weakened enough for me to crack it with my stomp.
I threw him to the ground and crushed his skull with a powerful stomp.
"Voice, what I need to do right now. These guys died easier than I thought."
"Keep going deeper. There will be a treasure in the end." I don't need more details. This explanation is enough for me.
