Juniru sighed and looked at another tree, which looked the same as the previous dozen... They got lost! In the forest!
"How did you get lost somewhere, where you live?" Juniru asked as Junku stopped to pick berries.
"Juni, I don't live in the forest, but in the village... Juniru, look!"
"What?"
"A squirrel~!" Junku yelled, pointing to the red animal running up the tree.
"Squirrel in the woods. Amazing..." Juniru sighed again.
"But squirrels are cute" noticed Junku. "And forests are great! So many cute animals~!"
"Forests are stupid" said Juniru.
"They aren't. They're shelter for animals" the altmer smiled radiantly.
"But I can't move through the woods as a dragon" Juniru waved his hands helplessly. "The trees are too dense and I would either break them or hurt myself or both. Besides, there are snakes, spiders and ticks. And you never know, what you can eat and what will cause you to die in agony."
"Just read about wildberries" said Junku.
"Should I read about something I don't like?" Juniru asked skeptically.
Junku frowned.
"You're so moody, Juni..."
"I know" Juniru shrugged. "Let's go further, before twilight sets on."
* * *
Meanwhile Arase and Riina also didn't know, where they are. Not at all.
"We're passing that tree for a third time" Arase observed. "We could drop it and go home or we could go to the mountains, but you can't guess. We got lost."
"If you say we're lost again, I'll hit you" growled Riina.
"Did I tell you already?"
"Nine times."
"Are you counting it?" Arase was surprised and Riina gave him a murderous look that confirmed what the drow was asking. "What do we do? I propose to throw everything and start a new life in the center of the forest. Here, under this tree, if we like to come back to it so much."
The drow sat down under the tree and straightened his legs, then leaned back against the trunk and closed his eyes.
"I suggest you to don't talk nonsense" Riina said.
Arase opened one eye.
"What's the nerve for, Rin? Sit down and admire nature."
Riina sighed and sat next to him. Arase
he picked up a few daisies that grew under the tree and began to weave a flower crown.
"Something died there and maggots are eating it now" Riina pointed at the corpse laying on the trail. "And there some big animal pooped and I can smell this even here. The nature sucks. We have to go. Arase?"
Arase, however, decided that his flower crown was more important than his friend's nose's health and paid no attention to her at all. Until she hit him with her shoe.
"Riina, what?"
"I said we're moving!" she yelled.
"Where are you going?" asked Ryoku, walking to them.
"Oh. Ryoku" mumbled Arase.
"Do you know her?" asked Riina.
"Ryoku, meet my friend, Riina. Riina, this is broken elf."
"Don't make jokes out of her, meatball!"
A fireball flew past Arase's ear. The drow looked up only to see annoyed Noburo.
"Calling me "meatball" is so mature I think I'll fall asleep" Arase pretended to yawn.
"You called Ryoku a broken elf" Noburo kicked him in his ankle.
"I'm teasing. Don't any of you have any sense of humor?" Arase stood up and brushed the dirt off his pants. "You weren't offended, were you, Ryoku?"
"The words of the drow don't touch me" Ryoku replied.
"Ah, yeah. According to the elves, I am crap" Arase nodded. "We got lost. Do you know where we are?"
"...we got lost too" Ryoku chuckled nervously.
"Great" Riina snorted. "And what el..."
The chimera didn't end her thought, because something pushed her to the ground in this moment.
"I'm okay, I had a soft landing!" called Junku.
"But get off this mistres, my pink friend" Juniru picked him up, then helped Riina up. "Are you okay?"
Riina didn't answer. She wanted to kill him. She also wanted to kill everyone in this forest and then herself. At least she would stop smelling this damn shit.
"What's going on here?" they heard silent, girly voice and turned around.
A girl stood here. She was an average height, slim, but with chubby face. Her eyes were big, black and very sad, hidden behind the glasses. Her long, brown hair were tied in two ponytails. They knew immedentially that she was a dragon, because she had pointy ears, fangs and claws.
"Namida?" Noburo was confused. "What are you doing here?"
"Well, it seems that he got lost, when he tried to find a way" explained Juniru. "As same as all of us, to be honest..."
"Dumbasses" Namida shook her head. "I'll show you the way. Do you want to go to Ginyama or Aoumi?"
"Aoumi" replied Noburo.
"So, follow me" said Namida as she started walking.
"You know this area? You are a dragon" said Arase.
"An earth dragon. My mother is an elf" Namida smiled weakly. "Come on, you dumbasses, before you get lost again."
A group of strangers looked at each other and they followed Namida who led them out of the forest.
"Thank you, Nami" Noburo hugged her. "I already thought I would have to live there forever."
"You're welcome" Namida smiled faintly and transformed into a beautiful green dragon. "Would you let me to take a shortcut? Otherwise, my mana will run out and I'll fly run into a tree. Goodbye."
"See you later" Arase waved his left hand. "So what, my team? Let's go~!"
"Yes~!" Junku smiled radiantly and picked up the branch from the ground. "Follow me, ladies and gentlemen! Junku will lead you to the horizon!
"It will be long days" Riina muttered under her breath and followed the altmer.
Who knows, maybe they won't kill each other so fast?
