The star-spawn are a prevalent race in Koiwl's Multiversal Tales, which is actually a butchered parody of Lovecraft's work. Put very simply, they're cthulhu-people.
Nrocno's adventures were always meant to tie into my other works, but I didn't remember it happening this early.
