When I wrote this back in 2013, I felt the need to include a translation note for "Itadakimasu". I could be wrong, but I feel like, at the very least, my target audience would know what it means nowadays.
Just an observation but in case I'm wrong. It's something you say before eating to express gratitude. Typically it's translated as "Let's eat" or "Thanks for the meal".
