"So, you failed your mission. You know what that means right?"

"W-Wait. . ."

Lily's voice trembles.

"This is the consequence of your failure. Didn't we discuss this? You've been doing well this whole time. I praise your tenacity. It's such a shame that the ten-year-old streak has ended. Still though, nobody else has a record of killing people each day for ten years without a single failure. This must have been a world record already!"

"Stop. . ." Lily turns around slowly towards Michelle who's behind the glass.

Lily cannot use her Faith power. She was crippled by her mental state.

"Just know this."

Martin walks closer. He is now standing directly behind Lily.

"This was all his fault. It would not have come down to this if it was not for his meddling. You know what to do next?"

Suddenly, Michelle's weakest voice was heard by Lily.

". . .L. . .ly. . ."

"MI-CHAN!"

Lily ran towards the glass window and leans herself towards it.

"So. . .ry. . ."

"What do you mean? I'm the one who should be sorry!"

"You. . .stayed. . till. . .end. . ." Michelle's voice gets even weaker.

"MI-CHAN!" Lily's voice began to tremble.

"Thank. . you. . .my. . .dear. . .est. . .friend."

Michelle utters her final words and it was gratitude towards her best friend.

"Mi-chan?"

Michelle didn't respond.

"Mi. . .chan?"

"MI-CHAN!! MI-CHAN!! MI-CHAN!! MI-CHAAAAAAANN!!!"

She's crying as she shouts her friend's name. She tries to make her hands glow to break the glass, but as soon as her hand starts to glow a little, the light disperses. She tries to summon her sword, but when the sword was still in the middle of forming, it breaks apart. 

She touches the glass window and tries to engulf it with her light to disintegrate it open. The glass did not even shine a bit. She feels so powerless and helpless. She continues to hit the glass window harder and harder and hopes to break it with her physical power alone but to no avail. 

And then she hits it one last time. She stops and her fist slides down the glass window as she falls slowly to the floor.

"Mi-chan. . ."

She starts crying. She remembers their time together. She's reminiscing their past. Her heart is broken. She starts sobbing.

"Mi-chan. . ."

Lily lets out her saddest voice. She felt like something has been ripped apart from her. She felt empty. She felt hurt. She felt horrible. She feels broken. Her face looks terrible with all the tears and her face also turns red. She feels so guilty for letting Michelle die after everything that she's been through.

"Pathetic, Queen of Time." Martin suddenly interrupts her.

"SHUT UP!" Lily turns around as she shouts her loudest and her angriest while her eyes and cheeks are still wet.

*pant pant*

Her crying and anger tire her out.

"You heard me before right? This was all his fault."

". . ." Lily pauses for a second.

"His. . .fault?"

"That's right. Everything would have stayed the way it was. That meddling boy will pay, but the most important thing is that, You. Hate. Him!"

As soon as Martin said so, Lily is suddenly consumed by an unhealthy amount of hatred towards Light.

"He. . .killed Mi-chan?"

"We are moving to the next phase!" said the scientist to Martin from the speaker.

"That is right . . . He killed Mi-chan. . .If he never interfered . . . If we never met . . .Mi-chan would still be here!"

"I. . .HATE HIM!"

Lily suddenly emits a bright blue light while Martin has already left. She accelerates everything, turning everything the light touches into dust. Strangely, she did not kill anyone as the entire facility is suddenly empty. 

From inside the bright light, Lily saw a shadow, a figure that she has become familiar with recently. It was Light's shadow. Lily rushed towards Light who's covered by the fading light. 

Her right hand glows and she uppercuts Light's chin. Light couldn't react to block the punch but his chin transformed on contact. The uppercut was so heavy that it launches Light to the ceiling and pierces through multiple ceilings until he was flinging up in the sky. 

Light recovers and he quickly gathers whirlwinds on his feet to float. Lily jumps upwards and reaches the same height as Light. She summons her swords on her back and floats at the same height as Light. Below them, almost the entire facility has turned into a giant hole in the middle of the city.

"LILY-SAN! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?"

"It wasn't supposed to end this way."

"What?"

"Everything was fine. I had it under control. Until you showed up!"

"What are you saying all of a sudden?"

"I know what to do!! I'll get rid of the person responsible for her death!" said Lily as she summons her sword and points it towards Light.

"Second State!"

Lily was engulfed by a blue light that is forming a sphere, trapping her inside. From the top of the sphere, a blue light shoots upwards towards the sky. And then, little by little, the sphere disperses and Lily comes out of it. 

Her appearance, however, is different. Her hair is now permanently light blue. Both her pupils have numbers and are imitating a clock. Her clothing is entirely different, as she wears a white and blue royalty-like dress that made her truly look like a queen. Her sleeves are long with white gloves. Her dress is mostly white with blue and golden colorations here and there. She is also wearing white high heels. There is a floating crown with white and blue coloration above her head. Multiple of her clock hand swords are floating behind her back with a formation to act as a large pair of wings. Lily's expression is also flat and calm, unlike her expression before this.

This is Second State, the next stage of Faith power. It is a state where a Believer can abuse their Faith power. During this state, Faith powers are no longer bound by rules and limitations. This phenomenon lasts for exactly 5 minutes and will go on a cool down for a full 24 hours from the moment it wears off, though to be noted that Second State does not grant any boost in power whatsoever. There is a general common behavior of Second State depending on the type of Faith power.

For Ability type, they can use all of their abilities at the same time as well as acquiring a new ability that can only be used during this state.

For Armament type, they fused with their weapons/tools and gain that said armament's abilities. Their Vein Armor also evolves into Ethereal armor which allows the user to phase through solid objects though it only works on inanimate objects.

For Elemental type, their whole body became the Source, essentially making them immortal for a short period of time. Their Source can still be damaged but only the wounded part cannot produce energy which doesn't make a difference during this state.

For Transformation type, they are able to transform their whole body and like Ability type, they also gain a new ability only available during Second State.

For Special type, it works differently depending on the Faith power.

"I see. I've always wondered, but now I understand why they call you the 'Queen of Time'." said Light in awe of Lily's current appearance.

They are currently floating above a city in Russia where the facility is located. It's currently only 9:00 in the morning. 

Lily raises her hand and summons her clock hand sword. The sword shines and shoots light towards the sky. The sky began to change in a very strange way.

"What the hell is this?" Light questions what he saw.

Up above, Light saw four different kinds of skies. The dusk, dawn, day, and night skies are now intertwined and affect the city. Some part of the city is night, some are dawn, some is dusk and elsewhere is daytime.

"What did you do Lily-san? Stop this!" Light asks Lily.

Lily didn't reply and opens her palm.

"Time stop!" said Lily with no expression whatsoever.

The flow of time has stopped again. The moving cars on the city's road, the people walking on the street, the cloud that is slowly carried by the wind, everything has come to a halt again.

"LILY-SAN!" Light calls out to her.

"Die." said Lily with her flattest tone ever.

She raised her sword and a giant clock appears in front of her. The giant clock starts shooting out thousands of swords towards Light.

"We're doing this again? That won't work!"

Light emits gravitational pull and sucks in all of her swords into one point, his blackened right palm. He was suddenly stabbed on both of his shoulders from behind, but his shoulder auto transformed and her swords got absorbed into it.

"(Are you kidding me? She's a lot faster than she was? Second State doesn't really boost her speed, which means, she was still holding back yesterday?!)"

After absorbing all of the swords from his front, Light turns around and pulls in Lily, but Lily disappeared before he even started turning around.

"(I can't even keep up!)"

Light was kicked from behind and he was launched straight down. Upon falling, he recovers and lets his transformed legs hit the ground, and lands safely. He gathers wind and starts flying back to where Lily is. 

Light readies his fist. He gathers an extraordinary amount of wind on his right arm.

"EF 5 Tornado!"

The wind gathered in his arm is raging wildly but it was slowly being condensed into a smaller whirlwind that perfectly covers his entire arm while still retaining its strength and speed. 

Light flew over towards Lily. He openly tries to punch her with his tornado. Lily raises her palm and receives Light's punch. The tornado was engulfed in blue light and then the tornado disappears from Light's arm. Lily accelerates the tornado's life span towards a future where it returned to a normal calm breezy wind.

"WHAT?" said Light sounding extra surprised.

However, that was just a fake-out. Light's goal was to grab Lily directly. He grabs her palm with his blackened hand. He began to sucks in the fabric of time. The swords on Lily's back disintegrate and were absorbed into his hand. Lily can't manipulate time in this situation. Lily puts up her other hand.

"Destroy."

Suddenly, Light's hold over time was released.

"Huh?"

Lily 'destroyed' the fabric of time. Currently, in the area around them, time doesn't exist. Usually, this situation can kill normal human beings but Light is not affected by this due to God's Holy Grace. 

It's only a short time where time itself eventually fills up this empty space as if it's acting as air trying to fill up empty enclosed space when it's opened. 

Lily summons her sword and cuts her own hand that was grabbed by Light. She freed herself and then heals her arm instantly. She summons multiple swords from multiple angles around Light. 

Light gathers the fabric of space and warps away from her. Lily didn't even launch her swords as she knows that Light will do exactly that. She visualizes in her mind all of the possibilities of where could he warped to. She then commands her sword to storm in all directions. 

The amounts of swords are too much that they even clouded her own vision. Light reappears around 10 meters away from Lily, but as soon as he appears, he got bombarded by millions of swords. On top of the swords, Lily rushes towards Light with two swords in her hands instantly that it almost looked like she teleported. Light has no way to defend himself from her attacks, so he decided to use the only thing that can protect him in that situation.

"Second state!"

Light was wrapped up by a black light that forms a sphere, covering his whole body. A black-light then shoots upwards towards the sky. The black sphere completely protects him from all of Lily's swords and the two swords that she slashed at the very last second before Light enters Second state. 

Lily flies away and keeps a distance from him. The black sphere breaks apart from the very bottom. From behind the sphere, a figure of a complete pitch black human being appeared. The only things that are not black are the two pupils in the eyes. Light has entered Second state. 

Light then raises his right hand and aims it up towards the sky. In Second State, Light has gained a new ability that is available only during this state called Reverse black hole. Instead of emitting gravitational pull to pulls objects towards him, he can shoot out gravitational push that will destroy everything in its path. 

Light uses his Reverse black hole and shoots the sky. The intertwined four types of skies above the city were destroyed. More accurately, Lily's time ability that messed up the sky was destroyed and the sky has returned to its normal daylight sky. 

Light then aims his palm towards Lily. He shoots another Reverse black hole towards Lily. Lily couldn't dodge as it was instant even though they are far away from each other. His gravitational push didn't have any travel time and it just reaches the target as soon as he shoots it like a type of hit scan weapon from videogames. 

Lily lost her entire right arm from Light's attack, but Lily didn't faze at all. She simply heals instantly soon after the moment her right arm was blown away.

"If you wanna do this the hard way Lily-san, then fine by me!"
