Moments in a marketplace

A more finished version of the blurry background image that appeared in last month's episode, TADA! =D It took me.. well.. forever.. XD
This is my first digital painting of this detail and size. (I've only ever tried my hand at a weisswurst and pretzle before.)
There's a pretty solid technique for creating this kind of image - blur the source photo, paint what you see using a grid, blur the original source photo again but to a lesser degree, paint once more.. repeat. It really feels like it takes F.O.R.E.V.E.R, but the satisfaction that comes from seeing a photo realistic image emerge from unrecognisable shapes and blurs is really worth the effort.
I should add, as you've probably seen, this image is not done yet... It can do with 2 or 3 more layers to sharpen it up nicely and get all the details. But thaaaattt.. will probably take another month XD ahaha!.. cough..
