Me in Dory's shoes, I'd be like torn between making fun of Darío for thinking I had a fling with the drag queen costume tailor with a unique fashion sense, and commending him for not making any assumptions about him personally.
For some meta commentary, this update took me so long! I got food poisoning-like sick last week and I haven't prepared a buffer since I really thought I'd be able to ride sickness out well enough to not slow down too much. I just proved that's not the case so I'm going to slow down the next few updates to build up at least a week's worth of buffer. This also means I may start with an actual update schedule, too, which I'm actually not too up for given I like doing different lengths of updates. I'll let you know what I decide on that.
To close and just to vent, how frustrating that I spent a few minutes figuring out how to break down this update so it wouldn't get chopped up by tapas and the platform changed their guidelines without me noticing. I hope this doesn't mess up readability...
What's the deal with this new student! Aurora's triumphant senior year of high school is dampened when this boy captures the attention of both their classmates and her friends. How come nobody knows him beforehand?
Meanwhile, we also follow Dory, a young country woman who's arrived to the big city with little cash, little friends, and big dreams of stage performance. Will she find her path?
