It All Started On A Gloomy Day My Best Friend Maya And I Were Walking To My House From School Discussing How She Was Moving To Her Uncle's House On The Rich Side. “There Will Be So Many New Opportunities For Me Emalie!” She Squealed With Excitement. Maya Has Been My Best Friend Since We Were Two Years Old. She Is That Very Supportive Type Of Friend So I Try To Be As Supportive As Possible. He Continued To Walk To The Tan Van Parked In Front Of The Tiny House, He Got In And A Woman With Blonde Hair Drove Off Into The Sunset. 

I Ran Into The House To FInd My Mother Lying On The Floor Sobbing To Herself “This Would Have Never Happened If I Just Gave Him The Emeralds He Wanted.” Maya Looked At Me Worried And Began To Look For My Younger Siblings While I Helped My Mother. “Mother, What Emeralds?”  I Asked Her. “ The Family Emeralds, Emalie I Wanted to Keep Them For You So You Could Attend The Fancy School You Have Always Dreamed Of Going To. But Your Father...He Got The Emeralds I Saved For You...Now That Your Father Has Left I Don't Have Enough Time To Care For The Younger Children Nor Keep My Job At The Hotel...I Will Never Get Enough To Pay The Bills On My Own…” She Sobbed In Between Words. “Mother Calm Down We Will Deal With One Problem At A Time. I Will Get A Job So You Can Stay Here With Edward, Emma, Eugune and Elizabeth. We Will Get Through This Together Mother.” She Continued To Lie On The Floor Crying I Helped Her To Her Feet And Handed Me What Was Left Of The Shiny Green Emeralds, “Take These And Get Into The School You Want.” She  Said Quietly. “Mother I Cannot Take These, These Will Help With The Bills And Put Food On The Table For Us, I Cannot Take These When They Can Pay The Bills And Pay For Our Necessities.” Maya Came Back With All Four Of My Siblings And We All Cried For A While After That.
