Kenny reached home at 20:59. He would have been late if we went any later. Kenny's dad, Staurt, was sitting on a couch in the living room with a beer bottle in his hand. Staurt looked over at his son then the stairs where Karen was going down. "You were almost late, Kenny." Kenny didn't answer back. He just headed for the stairs with a poptart for Karen. Karen followed Kenny into his room. Kenny lay on his bed with Karen at the end of it humming."Where were you?""I was hanging out with someone." "If you stayed out any later dad wou-""I know Karen. But I managed to get here in time so." Kenny smiled at Karen then layed his head back to rest. As Karen was getting up she looked back at her brother. "Goodnight, love you.." "...Love you too, Karen...."Karen smiled as she went to her room. Closing the door and going to her bed to sleep for that night. But she could only imagine what would of happened to her brother. Kenny.... She thought. The next day when Kenny woke up Karen wasn't in her room and neither was Kevin. He headed downstairs to see his mom, Carol, with Karen and Kevin. Karen had some bandages on her hands and Kevin had some on his arms. Kenny wondered what happened while he was asleep. "Kenny, oh there you are." "Mom? What's going on?" "I was going to take you three to school today but I remembered it was Saturday so I decided just to visit." Kenny looked at the bandages on his siblings and then at his dad. There was glass on the floor behind Staurt and a lamp on the ground. "I have to clean this up now.... Kids why don't you go outside. It's not safe to have broken glass with kids around." "Ok.." Kenny went outside with his siblings following him. Outside Kenny saw Craig with some of his friends. "C-Can we go to the park?" Karen asked in a small voice. Kevin nodded and took Karen leaving Kenny alone. Craig's friends left to their houses and Craig turned around to see Kenny. He started toward him crossing the road. "Hey, Kenny.""Hi..." "What are you doing outside?" "My mom said to go outside becaus-"Kenny stopped himself with a cough. He was coughing hard fell to the ground. Craig reached down and helped Kenny up.
