She swims towards me, and just like the last time, all I seem to be able to do is stare. I get to see her a lot more clear this time, most likely because I'm not a nervous wreck this time. Although I am still quite nervous. She has long, golden hair that flows effortlessly in the water behind her. Her face is round, with a distinct jawline. Her mouth is smiling but it almost seems emotionless at the same time. She has big, olive eyes that practically beg for your attention. But they don't seem very lively. They lack emotion, just like her faint smile. She looks directly at me, as if she's studying me. I realize I've been doing the same thing to her. Maybe she's also happy to finally have a better look at me, just like I was with her.
"You came back," she says both slowly and softly. Her tone of voice is gentle, but not very trusting of me. Her eyes are even wider than before. I feel as though it would be rude to flat-out ignore her, but I don't know what to say so I whisper back a quiet "Yes, I am."
"You're here to help right?" She says, almost as if it's a statement, rather than a question.
"Help? With what?" I ask her. She lets out a small, almost silent sigh as the small amount of emotion her expression had disappears. She only showed immense disappointment as she disappeared in the water.
