It didn't take long for you to become popular. Not just within our grade; even the upperclassmen wanted to be your friend. That was just your personality. You attracted people to you. Actually, your looks probably had something to do with that too. If I close my eyes, I can still remember your face. Dark-brown eyes that crinkled whenever you smiled, and that little beauty mark on your cheek. Yeah, your looks had EVERYTHING to do with why you were popular.
Unfortunately, I was nowhere near as good-looking as all the girls that flirted with you, but I thought I should do SOMETHING for you to notice me. So, what better way than to show off my athletic ability? Although I had only ever learned to do martial arts, I quickly picked up the sport you played, just to impress you. Oh, the things I did for you to notice me! I cringe thinking about it now.

One whole week. That was how long you paid attention to me. Then you ghosted me the next week. It was like a kick to my gut. I moped around for a while, until you took an interest in me. I had gotten braces. It wasn't even particularly interesting, but when you saw me talking to the teacher, you mouthed to me "When did you get braces?" I still remember it today. Hell, I remember pretty much all of the time we spent together.
From then on, we became close (best?) friends. I always had to remind myself not to expect anything more from you. Just because you paid attention to me, did NOT mean that you liked me that way. And I was okay with that. Until you started to like other girls and told me all about it. I admit - I was jealous frustrated that you didn't see me that way, despite my efforts. Still, I was closer to you than any of the other girls were, and that set me at ease (kind of).
Two episodes in and I'm already running into writer's block. It's not that I don't know what to write. It's just difficult for me to remember what I'm writing out and then putting it into words, lol. That probably made zero sense -_- . But anyways! Hope you enjoyed this week's episode! Subscribe to this series to get notified for updates! Toodles <3
Knowing what to write and not knowing how to word it- you summed up my creative process right there. I don't even know how to get out and I've been doing this for months!
