For over 6000 years, the Chillwind Plateau has been the ancestral homeland of the Da'nai, or Frost Elves. Though not the original inhabitants, history has proven them the victors of the many conflicts that have happened upon the frozen soil of the Plateau.
Since 7476, the lands have been under the complete dominance of the Wessdyr Consulate, an oligarchic government that has ruled in relative peace for over 1400 years. Supported by the watchful eyes and ears of the Wessdyr Inquisition, any talks of rebellion against the power structure have been extinguished before lighting the fuse. Or so it has been in the past.
With discussions of trade and diplomacy with the Abbadys Republic, ethnofascist extremism is on the rise in the north. And in the southern prefectures, a charismatic revolutionary evades the authorities as she speaks of equality between all Races on the Plateau and the dissolution of the supreme power that the Consul holds over all denizens of the realm.
Times are unstable, and the 1400-year long period of peace seems to be melting away like snow in the spring.
In a world where the only law of physics is "No humies," Wessdyr Inquisitor Sabine Teralas is tasked to investigate a mysterious attack on a small village. In her searches for answers she seeks help from a bounty hunter Demon named Auxanne Odillion. But there's more to the mystery of daemonic attacks in the countryside.
A fantasy adventure with political themes and personal struggles. Updates the first Friday of every month.
