They opened the huge doors of the Boss Room, 42 players went in. The Boss Room was twenty meters wide by 100 meters deep.
The Monster was over 3 meters tall, muscular, covered in red fur and had blood thirsty copper-red eyes, long horns, a tail along with sharp, big claws. He had thin chains coming out from his nostrils and going under the skin right below his eyes. He had a big axe to attack and 5 HP bars to be seen.
His name was Kaito.
6 Sentinels spawned to defend the Boss from the players at the start and Kai knew, like the rest of the Betas, that with the depletion of each of the Boss' HP bars, an additional 6 Sentinels were going to be spawned, in total that'd make extra 24 of them.
It started good. The Tank party; Group A and the Assault party; Group C divided the Sentinel group and kept their attention on themselves while Kasette, Temachi and Layla from long ranged attack party; Group E, helped them from the distance.
All of Group E was positioning almost right in front of the exit, although they were still closer to the battlefield than the Healer party; Group G.
Groups B, D and F were concerned on dealing damage to the Boss while Alina, Zebulon and Fae were also supporting them from the Rangers' position. The main Supply party; Group F, was primarily using the Delay skill to interrupt the Boss' attack, relieve the pressure from the Healers whenever possible.
Group A managed to kill a Sentinel while Group C killed 2, surrounding them into a circle as the 'Boss Team' managed to destroy his first HP bar and new Sentinel wave got summoned.
"Hold your position!" Group A leader, B Rank Fighter Maik commanded while Group C leader Captain Mathis commanded his party to dissolve their circle and let the new Sentinels in, planning on dealing with them inside their circle.
Group A had 5 Sentinels on their neck while Mathis' party only had 3 bow. The captain of the Knights & Mages of Freedom (KMF) felt like this wave of Sentinels were stronger than before, not like in the Beta. Or was it just stress creeping when it was their actual life on the line?
"Penny, go help Group A." Mathis commanded but leader Maik activated a skill that was boasting his Strength so he killed one of the Sentinels all by himself. The blonde leader made a gesture to call Penny back who had just took a couple of steps towards the Group A anyways.
Another one of the Sentinels got killed by Alina who shot an arrow right through his eye, just before the Boss Kaito lost his 2nd HP bar.
'I was worried over nothing.' both Mathis and Kai thought at the same time without being aware of each other.
The Boss Team was using the 'Switch and Pot' strategy, meaning; they were dividing into 2 teams within, actually. As the first team attacks, 2nd team was getting healed by the mages behind or using their potions to recover and visa versa.
"Switch!" Group B jumped back as Group D, the fastest attack party, jumped forward. Even though Captain Zerthai technically was the leader of the group, they tend to work more.. 'on their own', since they were so fast as Blade Masters, it was extremely hard to get coordinated as a 6 people party. Everyone was just finding a good or a blind spot to attack and.. well, attack there. And when they activate their skill, they'd become almost invisible to the lower leveled players' eyes.
Group F which was leading by Captain Rein, stabbed the Boss on the ground by his feet with their spears while Alina shouted;
"Rangers! From his arms!" and Group D, synchronized with the Ranger party Group E, jumped on the Boss, half towards his chest and half to his hands. As Zerthai stabbed him from right above his heart, the other two; Chelsea and Abel fall on his belly and stabbed him from there. Two KMF members grabbed his left and Kai grabbed his right hand where he was holding his axe.
Kaito screamed as he raised his axe to cut Kazu and Mercurii, the two B Rank KMF members, but Kai acted faster and cut off his 4 fingers with a single sword move, seconds later, Kazu and Mercurii did the same thing with the left hand. And one more HP bar was gone.
That was the 3rd HP bar.
Suddenly the room's blue lights turned red and 4th wave of Sentinels appeared two times bigger while Kaito roared once again; but this time using actual words;
"KILL. THE. PLAYERS!"
Kai froze at his words and looked at him while the Boss was also growing bigger right in front of their eyes, reaching almost 6 meters tall, and restoring his claws back.
'Did he just.. spoke?' the black haired boy thought.
"KAI!" Alina's scream turned him back to his senses and saved his life by letting him dodge the next axe attack.
"What the HELL is happening?!" Rein shouted, meanwhile Kai jumped a few steps back, got to a safer position.
'Sentinel Team' Group C had 3 big Sentinels onto them while Group A had 2 more smaller ones from the previous wave. 5 Sentinels, 3 big and 2 smaller, teamed up and attacked Group A. The party got wiped out in just 2 minutes, everyone froze in shock.
"Retreat and regroup!" shouted Captain Mathis, "Group F, get back and carry injured players to Mage are! Group E focus on the Sentinels!"
Group F quickly ran back to Group A area, looking around while Group C was covering for them but all players in Group A had black cracks on their faces, meaning; their bodies were going to crack into pieces when the Boss gets defeated or.. dungeon gets closed.
Iron Shield members were silent, Rein was pressing his lips hard but as the leader and the captain of his party, he was the one who had to report back;
"No survivors!"
"Support here then!" Giichi, a C Rank Fighter shouted back, right before he got stabbed from the back, the blade came out of his chest, his mouth immediately filled with blood and face started to crack.
"We're gonna die! We're all gonna die!" Kray, one of the youngest members of Iron Shield cried out.
  "We're NOT gonna die! We just have to hang on 'till the Boss drops dead!" yelled Rein back, his eyes drifted to Kai. Things didn't seem good there either.
The Boss Kaito swung his  axe one more time and hit Zerthai who blocked the attack perfectly, just as expected from a high level A Rank but his HP still dropped to a critical state.
"F*ck.." he cursed under his breath, coughing a couple drops of blood.
  "Captain, stay back and recover!" shouted Chelsea, the only other Dragon Knights member from Group D. She and Kai was using 'Hit and Run' strategy which was working only barely. It was an highly defensive attack strategy that was consuming too much energy.
Zerthai got on his feet back, thanks to Jude, the oldest member of Iron Shield and maybe of all attack units. The elder man was always a joke topic due to his age but he was also one of the most positive players in Savillon, the KMO world, despite everything.
"Breach!" shouted a player from the Sentinel Team. Two of the big ones were out of their circle. They used a skill which made them faster in seconds and they started running towards the Rangers and Mages' area. Some of the Sentinel Team tried to run after the fugitives but their way got blocked by another two big ones. The last small one got destroyed as it took a player down with it.
"Penny!" a team member cried out when she saw her friend dropped dead.
Zerthai drank up a red potion while Jude was dragging him towards the Group G. After the health potion, the Captain was able to walk himself once again. They also started running until they caught up with one of the fugitives.
"DRAGON BITE!" Zerthai activated his skill that turned his two-handed sword into a metal dragon head. He jumped and attacked the Sentinel. The dragon's bite instantly severed half of its body.
"Captain Zerthai!" Jude shouted.
When the blonde captain turned back, he saw the old man blocked an attack, that was obviously a trap for the leader, with his mere body. His HP dropped to zero almost immediately, covering his wrinkled, calm face in black cracks, still smiling softly.
"JUDE!!" Rein roared while the fugitive threw Zerthai off with its dash and reached the rangers. It was faster than the arrows coming at it. After it slashed two rangers' throats right in front, it dashed at the Mage area and swung its long sword which was still covered in blood.

"Harley!!" Alina called for her class mate.
The green haired Mage girl had a brief eye contact with her best friend before she casted a spell that trapped the Sentinel with herself and two other mages; Catchyin and Loren. As Harley held the barrier, the boy and the younger girl combined their powers and created a big flame explosion inside of the shield.
Alina couldn't look at the scene when the shield started to fade away, sparkling. Instead, she commanded the last two Elementals; Vice-captain Lys and Elvira, a KMF Mage;
"Combined skill on Boss! DRAGON~ CLAWS!"
Flame arrows hit the Boss, leaving his 4th bar in critical state. The tank party tried to take advantage of that and attacked the Boss but Kaito activated a skill and jumped incredibly high, considering his bulk, and landed on three of them, mashing the players brutally. In that exact time high movement assault party found the time to synchronize their speed and attacked the Boss in all directions, causing him losing his 4th HP bar. But therefore, the new wave of 6 big Sentinels got summoned.
"We.. can't deal with all these. I'm only a C Rank.." muttered a Fighter, one of the members of KMF, dropping his sword on ground and backing away slowly.
"Ishida! Take back your sword!" Captain Mathis yelled at him.
"I- I can't.. I-" before he could finish his sentence a Sentinel appeared and cut him in half, echoing his screams through the dungeon.
There was no mistaking it, the Boss and the Sentinels'd gotten at least three times stronger since the loss of the 3rd HP bar. But.. it wasn't like that in the Beta-Test. Up until now, the change in the game were so little. Why now?
Kai dodged the Boss' next hit just barely. He looked back and exchanged looks with his girlfriend, both knew they couldn't keep this up for long since their energies were also dropping little by little every passing minute, with each of their movement.
'We all might just die here.' Kai thought before the Dungeon's door opened with a loud 'Bang'. A person with a black cloak started running towards the 3 Sentinels as he shouted;
  "Everyone get back! This's a trap! The sentinels becomes level 50 after remaining of 2 bars and level 55 after the last bar along with the Boss!"
All raid members, including the captains stepped back as the black cloaked player, his face wasn't visible cause of the cloak's hood, raised his leg and kicked one of the big Sentinels. His kick pierced it diagonally, only with that single strike. Then quickly destroyed the other one punching his head and another one. The only thing was more surprising than him, was his tamed pet.
It was a 3,6 meters tall, snow white furred, ice blue eyed wolf. The wolf had a small tattoo next to his each eye with the same color as his eyes. It seemed like the pet was an NPC, controlled by its owner cause the next thing it did was to facing against the Boss.
