Colt Blackwell Interview
Colt huffed, flexing his arms as he crossed them over his chest.
"I heard you guys wanted to hear a little more about me."
Shaking his head, as if it was something he wasn't too fond of doing but his creator Citrine asked him to do for his adoring readers. Giving Citrine another hard look before he dropped his arms and the tough act he was putting out at the time.
"I mean." He rubbed the back of his neck, "I'm not really sure what you want to know. Citrine just said about me, some background without giving away too many spoils for you guys."
Starting from the beginning felt like the right place to begin.
"As you know, I'm an only child. Not something either of my parents planned on. They both wanted at least three pups if not more." His voice got tight.
He didn't like talking about his past, least of all his mother.
"You also know my mother died just after giving birth to me. And that's a burden I carry with me every day. When I was younger, it was hard for me, but you know how you get used to being treated a certain way. It just becomes normal."
Not that half of the things he saw as normal should be normal.
"As a pup other's my age weren't too fond of me. Whispers of the curse started early on. Now when I think about it, kids don't think of stuff like that. It's the parents that started it all. Adult's starting the rumor that I was a cursed soul." He scoffed, fingers unknowingly grace the birthmark about his brow.
"Most of the pups. . . honestly picked on me, called me names, pushed me around, bullying would be a better term to use. . . ."
Colt cut himself short, glancing over at Citrine as if to ask if this was something he had to be doing. Couldn't they have asked for someone else?
Gently being shooed by Citrine to carry on. Reassured that they wanted him and no one else at this time.
"So yes, an alpha. . . well alpha in the making can be bullied." He smirked. "I met Tank a few years after it all started, he was shy, which is nothing like how he is today, but he was the first to really be nice to me. We clicked pretty well for us being so different. Tank is the loose, fun, go with the flow, here to do his part kind of guy. Where I'm more of a hot-headed, brooding, always angry kind of guy. Some will tell you that this is just the natural way for an alpha to be, but I know it's not. I don't always want to be this hot-headed pissed-off guy, but so far, I'm not sure as to how to change it. Maybe I don't want to change it? Maybe I'm okay with who I've become."
Colt paused. Was he really okay with who he was right now?
"Anywho, I grew up like pretty much everyone else. Nothing overly special about my younger years."
Like most who were bullied he just chalked it up to life being life. That he was no worse than the rest of them. Colt knew that at times he let that abuse show with how he acted, being mean like those were to him when he was younger. That anger was a huge thing his father was still working on him to change.
"Things didn't get interesting till I met Jason and Jake for the first time. They. . . . I don't even know what they are. . . maybe trouble would be the best word for them. Double Trouble. One finds themselves in a lot of trouble when you put four teenage alpha boys anywhere."
They all honestly got into just about anything that would make any parent want to discipline them. Nothing illegal, but the usual. Sneaking out, staying out late, getting in trouble at school, fighting.
"When I turned sixteen, my father started to lay in on me. Nothing bad, but he wanted what was best for me. You know how parents get. I'm also his only son, so of course, he wants me to take over his place when the time comes, but I really don't see Pack Master as a title for myself."
He laughed, "Would be something to be the Pack Master of the ones that used to pick on me when I was younger."
He laughed a little harder, shaking his head again.
"There isn't much else to say really. My life has been kind of boring." He stretched, "I could give you some flash facts."
Colt glanced at Citrine who nodded.
"Let see. I'm a huge fan of anything chocolate. Cake is my favorite choice of sweets. Baking isn't my thing, but I make an okay meal. Oranges are my favorite. Apples are good too, but only the red ones. I like spicy things or anything with noodles. Not a fan of baseball or football. Hockey is where it's at. Like using herbal remedies when I can. Green is my favorite color. I wear a size twelve and a half shoe. Prefer the night over day, but I have a feeling that might be a given. Umm. . . " Colt smirked, a twisted little grin.
"I'm sure you guys would be interested in knowing that I lost my virginity when I was seventeen. A girl I had been dating for a little while, a beta. We broke up soon after though. We made better friends than lovers. She moved like the next year as well. I've never really dated outside of that. Sure I've seen people. I'm a man with urges like any other but have yet to find a mate, as my father likes to put it. Say's I'm getting old and need to settle down. Twenty-eight isn't old. I have a feeling he's only pushing because he wants grandbabies or something before he's too old to do anything with them. Couldn't have all the kids he wanted to, so he wants me to give them to him."
Colt shook his head, kids? "I'm not so sure about that."
Everyone he's been with he was more than careful. The thought of going through what his father had with his mother. To be the cause of another's death again wasn't something he wanted. His throat going tight again at the thought.
"I think that's enough for now. Hopefully, this was okay. I'm not good when it comes to talking about myself." He paused, "Oh! Yeah! Citrine and all of us from BONDED want to give a special thanks to all of those who helped reach Citrine's first GOAL of 5,000 Ink. We all want to give an even bigger thanks to Suga1_Sugar for being the top giver!!"
Citrine Notes :
This is my first Extra. I hope this has been worth it. I wasn't really sure how to go about it at first but just went with it once the words started flowing. Played it as if Colt was just talking freely.
Feel free to drop any suggestions as to what you might like for other Extras we can work towards having in the future.
I had the idea of doing maybe more Aftermaths for the stories.
A simple you ask questions and they will answer. A question session for the story of y'alls choosing. Or even a single character.
Or maybe writing out a scene you lovelies want to see my characters in.
Maybe mix things up like for example, what if Asher had ended up with Zac that night. (Spoiler if you haven't read Fight Night, apologies.)
Write altered scenarios maybe?
Something Ink could be raised for.
Just some thoughts in my head.
Once again Thanks to all of those who gave Ink!!
Y'all really don't know how excited and giddy I become at the likes and comments you leave. It really does make my day, even week if I'm honest.
