Ithan was fortunate to be born in the right place, with the right family and the right social strata. A simple walk through that thick forest that separated his parents' vacation home from the rest of the world gave way to an unexpected encounter with two boys of the same age, Abel and Elliot.
Abel was easy to deal with; Elliot, on the other hand, was as difficult as a wild animal. When he saw Abel's image on the news just above a news story as a suspected patricide, Elliot's image emerged as a warning.
That fact marked the inevitable intertwining of their fates. Even though he did not know Elliot's true nature, it had only fueled his fascination, initiating an insatiable search for answers that would haunt him for years to come, and lead him into the jaws of a terrible beast.
