One day, B was in the streets running late back home before she is then attacked and left for dead. When brought to the hospital, her parents and siblings find out that she is in critical danger of dying. The CEO of IMPACT also hears about what happened and suggests to the parents that she becomes the first test subject. The parents firmly decline, knowing that implanting an alien device is hardly the smartest choice, let alone safest.
Fast forward a few conversations and plot later, B is kidnapped from the hospital and wakes up to find herself strapped to a table with surgical tools nearby, as well as the sounds of alarms, shouting and fighting. Her parents burst through the door and try to escape the building, attempting to burn it and all the contents within down.
During the escape, the three are confronted by a masked man in purple who then tries to shoot them down so that they don’t make it out. The mother gets distracted by Pokémon Go and captures a Pikachu, leaving the dad and B to keep running to the exit. The two make it outside just as the dad gets cornered by an army of Karen's demanding the manager show up. He makes a jump portal for B to escape through, who is crying cause she doesn’t want to leave both her parents behind. He gives her one last hug before shoving her through and closing it, just in time as B then watches a Karen bitchslaps him in the face as the portal closes.
Now what no one noticed is that B wasn’t the only thing that went through the portal, so did a small blue microchip with tiny mechanical legs that slipped itself into her pocket.
Anyhow, the portal lead back to her home as M and C come running in and help her up. B explains what happened as the three children mourn for the loss of their last living family members due to the Meme Apocalypse. C then offers to help finally teach the best strategies to win at Fortnite to Tech to which the latter accepts and afterwards then heads to bed and cries herself to sleep because she didn't get the victory royale.
When she finally does fall unconscious, the blue microchip/VIRO does its work and attaches itself to her back (kinda like blue beetle from DC), establishing both a physical and mental link to her.
And that’s how the story begins!
I have a few mid plot ideas, such as when the VIRO and B first interact, B (dubiously) agreeing to be its ‘server’ (so its different from the usual ‘host’ term and its a pun for computer servers heh), the two eventually getting along, B explaining human ethics work to it as well as why she and her family keep their evolves a secret, M and C creating COVID-19, why B's nickname is T, some extra side characters who check in from time to time, more about the VIRO’s reasons for being on Earth, the three (Four? Five?? Six???) of them working together to find out who was the person who was after them and their parents by following leads from bad guys who worked within IMPACT to finally unmask the purple-clad shooter. (Massive spoiler: It’s _____ ______ ___________ *insert long descriptive spoiler here* _______. Now THATS a plot twist!) as well as an epic fight between them, ____ _______ ________ __ __________ and the ____ _______. It's going to be AWESOME!
A thing that sets my idea apart from the usual ‘parasite in my body and now I’ve gotta deal with this’ trope is that I’m gonna have B and The VIRO (Who I’ve named V-Y-R 0012, or Vyr/Vy for short, nickname Virus) fall in love. I know, sounds weird but you always see guy and guy parasite duos becoming just best buds. Unless someone makes them gay, I’ll stick with my girl and non-binary (ha computer puns) virus romance.
Oh and another thing; I like to have characters colour coordinated, each of the siblings has a unique stripe of colour in their hair to symbolise their Evolvent nature, I might (re)draw them someday. These are their colours:
B - Blue
M - Red
C - Yellow
And that's as much as I can say without spoiling the rest of the idea! Thanks for reading!
I FORGOT TO MENTION THE TITLE NAME FUGDENUGGETS!!
I have decided to call this story 'A Voice Inside'!
Ok, I think that everything. Bye!
