I've been meaning to draw this for a long time.If there's anything I believe in its that the perception of reality should always be taken with a grain of salt. When I think back to it this was probably one of the first times I realized its importance. Theres a lot of other reasons I looked up to Ms.Gold that are private because Elementary School was kinda hard for me. I always wanted to tell this story though, and I'm glad that I finally got around to it.

Thank you for your kind memories. I gave you an existential crisis? I will never forgive myself!! The idea was to set the spooky scene for the story. As I recall, the cat was a small toy and the broom was round, unless I set the cat up just right, it would fall off. Cat on the floor -- not spooky! Cat on the broom, sets a good scene. I have thought of you often as I know how hard our rigid educational system is for someone with a mind as rich and creative as yours. Oh, the clowns were all needle points made by my mother. She thought they would make the room look more welcoming and more relaxing for your children. I sincerely hope they had that effect. None of the clowns were crying. I still have all of the pictures as I knew the person replacing me would not want them. The pictures remind me to lighten up. I agree with you about reality being in the eye of the beholder. Our experiences govern what we notice, how we perceive our surroundings, how we feel about those surroundings and the people in them. I hope all is well in your world and your perceptions thereof.
