"Referral" in Finland is one of the main challenges to game expats in Finland. It starts from 'What is that?' 'How does it work?' 'Why...?' 🤔 all the way to 'How do I get a referral from a relevant - possibility a Finnish - person's referral when I'm new to this place?' 😟 Things get even challenge when the job opportunities tend to circle around within the personal network of people. 📞🔍
It seems like this is not just a game expat's concern. 😢 I've also heard stories from many expats/immigrants in Finland in other work sectors that they also tend to go through this learning process --- the learning process of getting familiar with the "referral" in Finland. ⚙️
