This new book is a departure from what I’ve written before. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea. It is sometimes violent and frightening and, if qualifications were necessary to write a story it would be plain I have none. I don’t like to write violent content for the sake of writing violent content, and I didn’t intentionally do so in this instance.
My goal while writing Reaver’s Song was to pit my protagonist against a vicious world where she didn’t fit. A world wholly unlike most Isekai settings I’ve read about or watched. I hope you can read Reaver's Song and feel nervous or afraid or sad or smile and immerse yourself for a few minutes in the trials of one small half elf against the world. What I’m hoping to achieve is a notion that everyone, no matter how small and powerless they may feel, can make a difference.
Despite the grim nature of the first few chapters, I promise this story is one of love found, romance blossoming and the fundamental notion that, with determination and perseverance (and a catgirl) the world is never too big for anyone and just one world can’t contain the love in a person’s heart.
