The Piper follows the story of several teenagers living in the small fictional Canadian town of Hemlock Bay, just outside of Vancouver. The residents of Hemlock Bay are highly superstitious, and blame a phenomenon known as the Wild Hunt for causing their town to experience a tragedy every year around the time of the winter solstice.
Taylor, her girlfriend Avery, and their group of friends find themselves suddenly thrown into the realm of this urban legend, and are determined to figure out if the supernatural stories are true, or simply a cover for something much more real.
A mixture between a 90’s coming of age tale and a horror story, “The Piper” explores different themes such as LGBTQ+ issues, trauma, mental illness, and relationships.
