Many items and people in this story come from my personal experiences in life. I am writing this book with the main character named for myself as I have always loved escaping into the world. And I gave her the last name Payne, for the irony of how much pain every human goes through in their lives. God has always played a role in my life and helped to guide me in the good and bad, though there were times that I didn’t take the time to listen to my heart as to what God was telling me to do. I have always loved reading books about fantasy and escaping the real world due to the hardships that we go through and even went through many devasting times of self-harm that I hope this story may help inspire other’s that their lives are worth much more than they believe.

We all have things that we are good at. I personally love learning about any and everything that I possibly can from changing parts on my car, gardening, landscaping, electrical, woodwork, graphic design, painting, rehabbing/raising animals, and many other things now including writing a Christian based fantasy novel for all ages. Just remember, especially if you are like me, to try new things. Life WILL be hard; adults will lie and say things get easier; but the truth is that if you surround yourself with good loving people life will get better at times and it will get worse at times.

Keep your head up and do not ever think you are alone. If you are going through school, kids will be mean. Even as an adult, people will get jealous or have narcissistic personalities and treat others poorly. You treat those people kindly regardless, because you never know what other people are going through and move on with your own life. Try your best, don’t give up. There are so many resources now that mental health is becoming a bigger concern in the world. And through the help of God and a good church, you can have more level mental health and resources as well.
