I walk along the lives of a thousand and one,
And fated to about thirty or so more.
I’ve seen the chaotic disjunction that is this city,
And the interplay of life and death.
I deflected and dispelled many things,
All conundrums of magic and science.
I have played the role of villainy,
All for the sake of those lives in my hand.
I am not like that preachy third-string,
Although he carved a new path I’ve never known.
I try to search, to persist, to protect, not for my own sake,
Accelerating out my reality, gaining not for mine.
I am the one who wields the power of God,
Awakening a dormant spirit from deep within.
I am the protector of all those shadowed in darkness,
And the unsung harbinger of salvation.
