Hades loved his friend as his own Father.
Even if he was not his biological Father…
He didn’t even like his biological father. But Hades loved Param-Atma or the Creator (by whichever name, you may call him).
This wonderfully weird, awkward and often Dorky Guy was his Father who didn’t expect anything, but was ready to give him everything in the world. Hades loved him to the point that he was even ready to sacrifice his life when needed.
Hell, even his wife listened to his Father more than she listened to Hades himself.
(Hades POV)
They both had the same sunny personalities.
Even if he was supposed to her soul mate, he didn’t mind her being partial towards his Father. She went through a lot in her life. Probably because, she didn’t have a Father figure in her life and after she met God, the hole in her heart got filled.
Plus, his wife was also spoiled & pampered as a beloved daughter by his Father.
Speaking of his wife, she was not in the Palace right now. She will be very sad if she missed seeing her Father. Hades walked over to his cell phone, to call his wife.
“Calling Persephone??”
Hades nodded and then replied with a simple, “Yes.”
His friend shook his head and said, “Actually, I came to you because I need to know about a person’s death.”
Hades looked surprised and asked, “Why?”
Because… to be fair… his friend rarely asks him about anyone’s fate. Probably because a person’s time of death, even though prewritten, is not exact. Because the actions or the roads that a person could take are unlimited.
For each road or choice that a person might take, his/her/their destiny awaits.
Similarly, a person’s death can happen in many ways depending on the choices, they make in their life. For example, for a person who works in mafia or with gangsters, his lifeline could be limited because of his bad karma or even due to the bad company he keeps. But if he decides to change his line of work, his fate would accordingly get changed. His death would also change. Like, maybe he will die of old age, surrounded by his family.
So, being the Lord of Underworld, Hades has many responsibilities. One of them is managing people to collect the souls of the Dead. They called themselves the Grim Reapers.
Grim Reapers were essentially responsible for guiding souls of the Dead, be they humans or otherwise. The worlds were segregated into smaller territories & each grim reaper was given their specific territories to work. For each territory of the Grim reapers, all the living beings’ potential time of death and cause was updated regularly as their task list.
Hades has NEVER helped to change a person’s death. And he has always maintained a strict stance on this with all his subordinates as well. A Grim reaper disrupting the rules of the Underworld has to be punished.
My Friend’s eyes twinkled and he smiled (probably reading out Hades’ thoughts).
Hades’ eyes narrowed at his friend and he repeated again, “Why?”
His friend got up & walked to the window overseeing, the waters that surrounded the Palace.
“Do you know, what is one of the most important duties of a parent, after their children grow up?” He asked softly.
Hades thought for a while and then shook his head.
His Friend turned to
him with gleaming eyes and smiled, “Of course,
it is to get them MARRIED!!!”
