As he stood on the balcony of the castle, he overlooked his entire city. His thoughts fixated on a certain boy; a boy who was able to clear his test. A boy, who he gave his power to.

That boy was maru.

Drinking the wine from his glass, he looked isolated from the entire world. Wearing a cape, he stood alone.

Just as he was watching the scenery, Mera showed herself behind him. She didn’t look human, she had blue skin, green eyes, and quite frankly looked terrifying with her horn on her forehead.

Yet, the man turned behind with not even an expression on his face, looking at her, he asked; “What is it?”

Mera, taken aback by his eyes, replied back; “Master, why did you give a share to a human? I think-”

“Mera. Let me ask you something. Who am I?” he said. It was as though the entire air around mera was pressing her down, she felt like puking from the amount of pressure he exerted. Holding it back she replied. “You are the demon king. Master.”

“Then, let me ask you this. Did I give you the right to question my choices?” his black and lifeless eyes turned a shade of orange, indicating his anger, his fangs grew longer as he said it to her. Crushing the glass in his hands, he simply stared at her.

“Understood Master.” with a cold sweat, she left.

Soon after she had left, the man grinned; “Did she really think that I wouldn’t know where she was going?” chuckling to himself, he said “Well then maru, let’s see if you get through this.” This man’s name was Krazkins. The ruler of the seven demons.

Would I have died? 

The thought never leaves my mind. Somehow my master is harsh to both humans and demons. He never goes easy on anyone. He was called a fool for not attacking the humans, but I don’t think he is. Being with him for years, I understood that he thinks ten-steps ahead of anything we can even think of.

But why? Who is this human? Why would he give his power to him?

I have to know. My excitement doesn’t stop. 

But...

It’ll take me a year to reach there, I’ll just have to slaughter some humans at the bridge! No... Master’ll discover me then. I’ll have to go silently.

< 1 Year Later >

That’s when I met him, the boy. His eyes focussed on me, he continuously threw his blade at me, making the blood return to his hands every time, everytime I dodged, another blade would be continuously launched. I then tried killing the boy next to him, but he ran away, as the boy blocked all my attacks.

Ahahahaha! He’s making me excited!
