Roy was standing still to catch his breath. He was training on a terrace full of gaps. One thing you could notice was his change in appearance. His hair was shaved, he was wearing a white military uniform, his brown skin was almost burnt from the days he trained in the sun. He drew a short, sharp sword. With a quick drag, he attacked Yuki, who was also standing in the same spot, she defended. But their movements were much faster. Then the captain used her wind magic to increase her speed, but Roy managed to keep up with her. The two swords met. Roy started to run, Yuki followed. The two attacked each other as they moved. The boy went into a gap there, but ended up running into a dead end on the terrace. With the pressure of speed, he attacked his mistress. She managed to defend herself and ended up using fire magic.

- I like it, boy. On fire! - at that moment her body enveloped itself in full flames, making her drastically faster. With this transformation, she delivered the attack with a single blow. Roy stepped back, thus being trapped.

- It's over! - Yuki shouted, pressing Roy, trying to land a blow on his shoulder.

But using the wall, he jumped over the captain, in the movement he cut through her flames. Placing the sword on Yuki's back and speaks:

- I'll tell you when it's over- He said with a victorious look.

- Are you sure? - She looked at him with a smile.

And suddenly, Yuki disappears right in front of him. Before he could even show any reaction, he was punched right in the middle of the face and flew away, almost falling out of the place.

- Shit... again. - he complained, getting up.

- I wouldn't dare lose to you. - She said, smiling.

- Shut up. - He said angrily.

- But you did very well, you even deserve a kiss. - she said, grabbing her student.

- Let me go, old woman! - He said, letting go of her.

She looked at Roy, who was unhappy with his defeat.

- I have a question for you... Why do you want to fight? - Yuki asked, sitting down on the ground.

- I want to kill all the demons. And get strong.

- Is that all? Kill? - Yuki lay down and looked straight into the dark and starry night sky.

- I want to kill... to protect everyone I love. I don't want anyone else to suffer - he sat up.

- I understand. - With a leap she stood up. - I think you are ready to go to the battlefield. But know that if you accept this path, your hands will be stained with blood. So, do you accept?

- Of course I do. - he said almost immediately.

- That's great! - I said laughing. - You will be my vice captain!

- EH?! Is this serious? Are you going crazy? - He was perplexed by what she just said.

- When the War of Regain is over, this squadron will end. Some will remain in the army. And others, like me, will be absent from the battlefield. So don't pay attention to the little things, you will be my vice. Let's just finish the job!

- Of course! - Roy agreed loudly.

The two of them jumped off that terrace and went straight to the on-site dining hall. During dinner, the soldiers congratulated him, because the White Canine squadron was known as a squadron without a vice, but very efficient in fierce battles. This was a milestone for them. They knew that the boy deserved that position more than anyone, they all had the utmost respect for him.

The other day they were in the middle of a great battle, demons of all types and sizes surrounded the group of white canines, but they did not fear them, on the contrary, they fought so fiercely that made the monsters there tremble with fear, but only one stood out, Roy. He fought with great strength, his blows were so fast and accurate, and his speed was also incomparable, he didn't even look like that weak boy who couldn't even use a little magic.

Suddenly a big demon appeared from the air, breaking everything, he had a helmet covering his face, having huge horns, he must have been more than two meters tall, with huge muscles, with blue and red skin.

- Shit, a special class. - One of his companions said startled. 

- That's no reason to run away. - Roy encouraged. 

The monster came at them, using magic to increase its speed. Roy was startled, and began to think: "Damn, damn, damn".  But he didn't want to back down.

In a rage, the monster smashed the ground with one punch. Roy jumped back, leaning on a wall, and climbed up the huge arm of the monster, making a deep cut in the neck of his enemy, gushing blood, so that the demon stopped moving.

"Is it over?" he wondered. 

The cut was regenerated quickly, without wasting any time, it roared ferociously, going at Roy. Grabbing him by the leg and throwing him against a building that was about a hundred meters ahead.

- He is very fast...

The monster continued towards the boy. Roy was still in the air when the demon reached him. He was frightened, thinking that it would be the end...

But the demon was cut in half in an instant. 

- What? Are you afraid, brat?

- Are you afraid, brat? - Yuki had his sword blunted, laughing.

- Everything was under control. - Roy said irritated. 

 After there were no enemies left, Roy walked a little further to see if he could find any more lost demons. 

Without hesitation he entered it, because it was a mission given to him by his teacher to find books and bring them to him for analysis. And if he did not do this he would suffer the consequences, Roy was afraid just thinking about the face the sergeant had made.

He shook his head to forget the fear, and went back to his mission. He looked around, everything was destroyed, fallen bookshelves with all the books lying on the floor. Looking and rummaging through them a bit, he saw one that caught his attention. It was called "Forbidden Arts". He started to stare at that book, walked outside and went towards where everyone was gathered, running to his teacher.

- MASTER! Look what I found! - He showed her the book.
