"Why is that nasty feeling always bugging me, and where is it coming from?" Lucian was confused.
A knock on the door disrupted his thoughts. The woman opened the door.
There was a tall, muscular man who without introducing himself fell on the floor, the grief he was emitting covered the entire room.
"Is this Alicia?" His voice ending with a sob.
"Alicia, so thats her name" Lucian thought to himself.
"Yes" She answered.
The man gripped his chest and from his backpack took out a sword.
Lucian got startled because he thought they were in danger.
The sword was broken, and had visible traces of burns, like it was constantly on fire, but thats not what troubled both Lucian and Alicia. There was a bloody hand gripping the sword split perfectly from the wrist, it instantly reminded Lucian of the Gods and the visible particles of Light Mana around the decapitated hand further proved his thoughts.
"Why are the Gods attacking the humans?" His mind could not comprehend what was going on here.
"Why?" Alicia screamed as hard as she could dropping the sword, which made the hand lose its grip from the sword. Their wedding ring rolling slowly as each second felt like eternity. Alicia was rolling down on the floor unable to form words from the crying and screaming. The mysterious man started speaking again.
"We the Adventurer Alliance will pay for the funeral" He wiped away his tears, turning to leave because his heart could no longer bare the broken woman infront of him.
"How?" She asked trying to collect herself.
"We do not know, some sort of mysterious creature attacked us.." His face went pale remembering it.
"It-" He stuttered.
"It looked like God."
"No, I am certain, it was the Gods that attacked us when we were entering an Ancient Ruin."
"It was the highest ranking level Ruin, but not even that could have prepared us for the strenght of the God that attacked us".
"What are these Ruins he is speaking of?" Lucian thought to himself.
"He sacrificed himself to save us... All we could retrieve was his Soul Weapon".
"What are these Soul Weapons?" Lucian asked himself again.
"There are many things I do not know about this planet".
"And I must learn all about it quickly."
The man left, stumbling from the reality he had just faced.
Alicia still crying stood up but fell down crushing her every dream ever.
Lucian could only watch as the beautiful woman was sitting broken hearted on the wooden floor, trying to gather up every ounce of strenght to get up, but it was futile. She gave up and cried her eyes out. Lucian has never felt this bad in his life, and the moment he thought of doing something to prevent the Gods from killing more humans, the unpleasant feeling came again. This time it felt like it was connected to his soul, as soon as Lucian pent up a little bit of hatred the nasty feeling became stronger. It was calling him. Something was calling him.
Lucian opened his eyes and was met with light from the outside coming through a window that was dirty like it had not been cleaned in ages.
"What time is it?" He thought to himself, but was met with only silence. He stood up using everything he had in himself, and looked around the room to see Alicia still on the floor, next to her a picture of the God broken in thousands of pieces, and the picture of her husband in her hands.
Lucian remember everything from last night.
"I need to somehow stop the Gods"
"But how?"
"How does magic work in this world?" He then remembered.
"If her husband was in the Adventurer Alliance, he must have known magic!"
He crawled across the floor looking at the big bookshelf. Crawling to the bookshelf took longer than expected, but when he got there he was met with another obsticle. He had to reach the books.
"I can do this he said to himself" The words of courage made him climb the bookshelf and he found the book he was looking for.
"Magic for dummies"
"This is it!" He was so happy he found it, he lost balance and started falling. Trying to regain his balance, he grabbed a old book, tried to pull himself back to the shelf, but fell to the ground. Falling on top of his face were 2 books.
"Magic for dummies" and "Soul Weapons".
After reading the 2 books he had a decent understanding of Magic and these Soul Weapons.
"So Magic develops in humans around the age of 18, and it is elemental."
"Everyone awakens powers to which element they were most exposed to."
"That must be the reason why the most common magic is Air Magic"
"In rare cases due to exposure the following types of Magic can be found within humans: Fire, Water, Lightning, Snow and Earth."
"So how do Gods use Light Magic?" Lucian thought to himself. "Also they do not know about mana." "But they do know of the other elements which even the Gods do not know about" "Interesting" He said with a wide grin over his face.
"I need to learn all this more if I want to kil-" The simple thought of killing someone made the unpleasant feeling grow even stronger.
"Damned Soul Weapon" He said to himself.
"So Soul Weapons are weapons linked to someones soul" "The weapon has the exact opposite personality of its Soul Counterpart"
"After I get my Magic I will find you my weapon!"
"You are going to help me kil-" Cut short again by the unpleasant feeling, that grew stronger just from Lucians thought of killing the Gods. This time Lucian felt like the weapon was smiling. A pure, evil and diabloical smile.
A low ranking God was treated poorly in the Realm of Gods.
They thought of him no more than a mere lesser being, they were disgusted that he was even a God, he was a kind God unlike the rest of the scum in the God realm, but there was nothing he could do about it..
Until the Emperor of Gods abused to much of his powers.. Egotistical and drunk he wanted to kill the kind-hearted God so he cast a beam of pure light energy thinking it killed him.
But the kind-hearted God was sent to Earth at such a speed time reverted for him backwards, and when he landed on Earth he was a no older than a newborn.
He did not care for what they did to him, instead he was glad to be away from them.
