Actually Biro's pen never leaked as it was the first to use a gelatinous ink, which is the preferred delivery system over gravity fed ink that Reynold's engineers developed for his pens. Biro managed to sell his pens to the Royal Air Force before World War II. British Fighter pilots during World War II preferred the Biro Pen so much, that's why the name stuck.
