In the past weeks, i've been focusing on the wisps of light floating around quite often. I've noticed that there are three wisps that follow me whereever I go, not that i have the freedom to move as I please. Normally, the three wisps would hover over my shoulder, just out of my view and reach. Today, however; One of the wisps, deep purple in color, has been floating in front of me for hours, and it seems to be getting brighter.
I'm unsure how the magic in this world works, but one thing is for sure. I'm not normal.
That Night*
Leaning back against the railing of my crib, I prepared myself for what was to come. Throughout the day, I noticed that the wisp that was showing itself to me was getting increasingly brighter and harder to look at as the time passed. From what I can hear, the whole house is asleep. So now is the best time to figure out what it is these wisps do. With much effort, I lifted my right arm up and propped it on my bent knee. At this point my hand is a good foot away from the wisp, I just need a good nudge to have it in my grasp. Pushing against the railing with my left hand, my body was set into motion, on its way toward the wisp. As I began my freefall forward, towards the wisp, I prepared myself for resistance. But it never arrived. Instead of stopping my fall, the wisp simply shot into my body upon contact with my hand.
The Next Morning*
I woke up with a killer headache. comparable to the hangovers I cherished(not) from my past life.
What's strange is that my body feels more invigorated than ever, the pain seemingly only in my head. What did that wisp do to me?
The pain faded about an hour later, giving me the opportunity to check my body for any changes. I didn't find anything major, just a couple of dark purple streaks on my fingernails. Nothing too noticable, Hopefully... I don't even want to think about what kind of commotion Tyrl - My brother - would start if he knew.
Right now, my main goal should be understanding the wisp I.. absorbed last night, and see if it does anything useful. Looking around, all of the wisps that were normally floating haphazardly throughout the room were faded to a point where i could barely see them. In their place, were sharp purple lines branching around the room.
Embark on a Journey with a young man who's never felt power of his own. Join Drol as he strives to find the last of the dragon race, uncover hidden secrets, and build his strength to the top.
AN: There is no set schedule for this series. I will post as often as I can, and I'm hoping to stick with this story until it is finished. The chapters will be short, but there will be many. Thank you all who decide to read this and embrace a little of my world into yours.
