I was wearing a red and black lingerie type bra. When Max turned around his face turned fifty shades of pink in seconds. He put the towel over me and brushed the semi-fresh scar on my lower shoulder blade. The one the incident caused. The one that made the last 6 months of my life a living hell.

  “ I’m sorry, ” he said with a shaky voice. I could tell he was about to cry so I stand up and hug him, he hugged me back now balling his eyes out. His head rested on my shoulder. I kissed him on the cheek. I pulled myself away from him and grabbed his wrist. I lead him up stairs him giggling the whole time with his hand over his face.

When he turned around, I saw the scars. I traced my finger over the largest one.  His laughter stopped immediately  as he flinched before saying "You shouldn't have to see that"  his face still stuffed in a pillow. I got on top of his back and just layed there motionless.

 He got up and this time grabbed my wrist and went down stairs. He sat me down at the dining room table once again and put the towel over me brushing my scar once again.  Pulling my hair into a low ponytail he said, " Are you ready?” I say yes. He put’s on a stupid smile and giggled,  He combed my hair into sections he started with the bottom layer my hair and buzzed it. When it was all set and done my hair was cut to the middle of my back with an undercut for the bottom. He got the hair dye out of the box and in my hair. it took a while to do but we did it.
