"When I walked in to the Glitch, everything seemed exactly the same at first. But then, it wasn't really. Some monsters seemed like they were protecting something so I moved towards where monsters seemed stronger, I was in there for almost a month you see. I ate and slept there too, instead of our waterfall cave cause I just.. had to keep going forward. Lower leveled monsters wouldn't attack a player who didn't attack them, so that's how I've found the solution of my sleeping area problem. I've encountered many mobs which non-Betas haven't even seen yet."
"Evil Slimes?"
"Evil Slimes." Seth put on a disgusted face, "In the end I've found Misha there. His stone was like an abandoned project to be honest, cracked and looked unfinished. But I've bound him to me anyways. So.. after I got him, all the monsters started to attack me, even though they were lower levels. They were greater in numbers so I had to run away and as Misha and I were getting out, we damaged the entrance, somehow, I guess. Because it suddenly struck me as the entrance disappeared. My HP suddenly dropped to red and black cracks started to spread from my hands to my arms. I fell unconscious before the cracks reached up to my elbows. But just before my vision went black, I swear I saw my HP dropped to zero." he explained.
"..Then?" Kai looked absolutely terrified.
"Then.. I opened my eyes. Healed. Found by people." he shrugged, "Obviously. Otherwise I couldn't have been sitting in front of you now, could I?" then smiled, "My HP bar is the same though."
"I think you damaged your MP by being exposed to the Glitch zone that long."
"Or when it struck me, yeah. I thought about that. That was the risk I took anyways. At least it's a good kind of damage!" he laughed.
"There is no such thing as "good kind of damage".."
Seth shrugged and asked;
"And the 2nd question?"
"You're a Healer."
"That's.. not a question."
"You're actually the Mage Knight but in the dungeon, you were only using your Healer branch."
"Still, not a question."
"You killed them by kicking and punching. Those kinds of attacks are not possible for a Healer to use against and damage a monster."
"If I was an S Rank-"
"-You are not an S Rank." Kai interrupted and Seth pulled a face;
"You know.. I always think that you underestimate my gaming skills. I'd finished this game before, let me remind you."
"By cheating, yeah, I remember."
"I haven't gained that much XP, I-!" he breathed in and out to calm himself down, "-Anyways. I'm using my huge mana pool to create a barrier, like a shield that's surrounding me tightly.. Like a condom!"
"That's disgusting."
"No actually, that was perfectly accurate, even I'm surprised by myself. Here, let me demonstrate for you." the blonde said before he covered himself with just barely glowing blue shield, "Then I shrink it like this." the magic shield only starting covering his hands, he made them into fists, "To be able to control it like this.. I had to practice for a while. This VR thing is kind of complicated when you're casting spells."
"You can always change back to being a Knight.. but then we would have yet another explanation to make to Alina."
"Nah, it's fine. I want to continue as a Healer. If I see someone on the edge of death as a Knight and wouldn't be able to help them, only to protect myself.. I can't get over it.. not again."
"Again..?"
"Ah," Seth raised his head to look at his friend and smiled, "Nevermind that, you asked me how my kicks and punches work. So, after I cover my hands as I punch the monsters, I stretch out the barrier. So my hands actually don't even touch the monsters, it's the barrier that does the damage. But control and canalizing the barrier consumes too much mana, even for my standards. I don't think if a player isn't a high level S Rank, they would be able to do it."
"I see." Kai was still stuck on the blonde's previous words; 'not again.'
Was it those kids in the graveyard? Was it someone else? What exactly happened to Seth for the past 3 months?
