I'm very sorry for your loss. It's always so difficult to make that call, when we want the animals in our care to have every possible chance but also not be in unnecessary pain. It's clear your hens mean a lot to you and you try to do right by them.
Even though you're still grieving, I hope that you will be able to use your art to process things, regardless of whether that is on here, elsewhere, or privately. As for continuing the story, please take your time, if you can. The doodles and short comics in the meantime sound good to me!
