She wakes up and notices it's dark out. She hears something downstairs and looks at the clock. The clock says 11:30 pm. She gets up after she hears footsteps running up the stairs. She looks out her door and doesn’t see anything but hears a door shut. She decides to go to the study. She notices it is locked and unlocks it. She walks in.
"You heard that too right," She asks Josiph as she closes the door.
"Sadly, yes," He says while sitting at her grandfather's desk.
"We have to go see what it is before it wakes anyone else up," She tells him, looking straight at him.
"I already know what it is," He says with a frown forming on his face.
"Ok, what is it then," She asks, turning and heads towards the door.
"It's a werewolf. They are the worst of the worst," He answers, stopping her.
"Ok, why is it here," She asks, looking at him as he steps in front of her.
"It could be any number of reasons but they hate hunters," He answers, trying to hide something.
"Ok? We need to get it out of here," She says with a questioning look. They hear it on the steps to come up the stairs.
"We need a plan," She comments quietly while listening carefully.
"So, what's the plan," He asks, worried and not really thinking.
"I may have a plan but I don't think you are going to like it," She whispers with a nervous smile. He looks at her questioning.
"We have to distract and lore it outside," She begins to explain, "Since they hate hunters then I will lore it outside. You will have to meet me there to help."
"What will I get out of this plan," He ask, hating this plan.
"What do you want," She asks, not knowing what to give him.
"I want your blood, again," He whispers with a smirk.
"It's a deal," She whispers as she heads to open the door. Josiph moves away to let her. She steps out of the study and sees a large silver wolf half way up the stairs. She sees a bright pink collar around its neck. She looks back up to its face and sees a scar on it's left eye, a scar going across its muzzle, and it has piercing gold eyes. She runs over to the railing and jumps on to it. She starts to slide down the railing and when the werewolf tries to attack and bite at her, she dodges. Barely but she does get away. She gets to the bottom and barely lands on her feet. She then runs outside with it following close behind. She gets outside and Josiph is already there waiting. They fight the wolf for about an hour and it runs off defeated. Marie's clothes have cuts in them from the claws of the wolf. The claws never actually touched her skin. The cuts are across her chest, stomach, a couple on her arms, and a few on her legs. Marie sighs as she walks up to Josiph. She nods signaling her keeping her end of the deal. Josiph smiles and pulls her close. His eyes shift color and his fangs grow out. He leans in close to her neck and brushes his fangs gently against it. She gasps and goes to ask why he is being gentle this time when he sinks his fangs into the nook of her neck. She lets out a loud gasp and grabs hold of him.
"Josiph, I will need those papers back," She says when he is finished and is healing her.
"And why is that," He asks, picking her up bridal style. Then carrying her as he starts to walk back inside. She doesn't answer because she has fallen asleep. She snuggles into his chest as he carries her to her room upstairs. He walks past a pink collar on the ground outside, not even noticing it. He carefully and gently starts to change her clothing into her night clothes. He takes off her shirt and notices a tattoo on her shoulder. He gulps as he starts to trace it. It's beautiful. He's never seen something like it before. It has to be her mark. He carefully redresses her into her night clothes and tucks her in. He quietly goes and rests in the corner of the room.
