Maddox was just leaving his wing when we got there.

"Creed, Alexi what are you both doing here this early?"

"We need------"

"Maddox I have Siena on the phone, she is requesting help!" My uncle yelled suddenly walking around the corner before he went back to fighting in Italian with her. Maddox invited us all inside and explained that Emerson and their son were at Zev and Jackson's, they were all going to have breakfast down there. I felt mildly bad for interrupting that, but this was slightly more important. We all sat around the table as Maddox spoke to Siena and they discussed the current events. My uncle looked rough. I touched his hand on the table and he looked at me. I mouthed the words " you are going to be ok". He didn't look convinced at all about that.

"Don't worry Siena, I will send someone to help. I'll have someone on the ground in Italy in less than forty-eight hours."

"Maddox, I'll be forever in your debt."

"No worries, I know how important our children are to us."

"Andrei, Take me off speaker we have much to discuss."

He took her off speakerphone and they went back to Italian. Though that was pointless, we could all speak it, pretty well.

"Maddox, I'll go get him," I said

"Alexi, you are still injured no." My uncle said intercepting.

"Don't listen to that, I'll be just fine. Its a few days and I'll---

"Alexi, You are going and your taking Creed with you. You two are the best ones for this and you both know Italy well."

"Understood."

"Get your things packed and be ready, I'll look at getting you in the air as soon as the next few hours."

Creed and I walked back to my wing briskly, We had to pack and arranged for a place to stay and a car when we got there. Along with a weapon and vest. Creed tossed my bottles of antibiotics in my suitcase as soon as I pulled it out. He pulled out the suitcase he always used that was under the bed. He grabbed two suits and athletic wear for the rest of the time.  I grabbed three suits, and athletic wear as well. Creed grabbed passports from the safe in the closet and some cash. we were just zipping up the suitcases when my phone went off.

"Alexi speaking?"

"Good, Hurry. You have a flight in two hours, grab your tickets at the gate, Business class. Siena has arranged for you to be picked up as soon as you land, you will be given weapons and a vest, Check them before putting them on of course. It's not that I don't trust her, but I want you both to be safe."

"Alright. We are packed and have our passports and Id. We will head out now, arrange to have my car picked up from the passport."

"Alexi, you and Creed be safe and bring that kid back in one piece."

"You know we will," Creed said as he grabbed our suitcases and went to the door with them. I hung up on Maddox and followed behind Creed. My car would be what we drove to the airport and someone would pick it up right after we left.

My uncle met us in the garage saying my car was maintained and he would pick it up from the airport after we took off. He whispered in Italian for me to take care and be safe. I nodded and Creed tossed me my car keys.  We got the suitcases loaded into the car before we jumped in. My uncle hit the button for the garage door and as soon as it was open enough to get my car out, we were gone.

"We just have to pick up our tickets and board the plane, Maddox said we should have a pleasant flight."

"No doubt, we will be in business class. He wants us comfortable before all breaks lose in Italy."

"Yes, that sounds about right to me. I expect plenty of bullets to go flying this next few days. If this is as bad as we are being told."

"I'm deeply hoping that we don't have to fight our way out with him. I have an odd feeling he isn't helpless like Siena makes him out to be, I think he is smart enough to know it will only get worse if he retaliates against his mother's husband."

"My thoughts and experience exactly Alexi, there's no way in this line of work that you haven't fired a gun and can't protect yourself, more so when you grow up the grandson of the Don."

Pulling into the airport, I found a good parking spot and shut the car off. Tossing the keys in the glove compartment. My uncle knew where the spare keys were and would have no problem getting inside the car.

"We will see exactly what the truth is when we land."

"Yes, but we should be prepared for anything."

"Absolutely."

With our suitcases in hand, we walked inside the building. People seemed to part right out of our way, or rather Creed's. They probably thought we were either gang members or cops. I found it highly amusing to see people dart out of Creed's way. Right beside him was where I walked. Once we reached the gate we were looking for we found the desk to pick up tickets. The security had let us go right through, it wasn't the first time they had seen us. We only had to flash our I.D. perks of being in the mafia.

Well, Creed went and sat down I grabbed our tickets.

"The plane will be boarding in just a few moments, we are allowing business class on right now, just take your ticket and head to the gate."

Grabbing the tickets I handed Creeds to him when I got back to him. From there we went and boarded the plane. We both had some clue what we were heading into, but we didn't talk about it. Sitting in our seats, he slipped his hand in mine before he spoke.

" I have your back no matter what."
"Good, I have yours."

He lifted my hand to his mouth and kissed my knuckle. I didn't show him the distaste I had at his public display of affection. I just stayed quiet and let him kiss my hand as we got ready for take-off.

All hell was about to be our reality. I could feel it.

Vincent Crime Family Book Three -

Alexi isn't good with feelings. So when someone he didn't view as even a friend until recently gets injured because of their feeling for him he pushes the feeling of anything like love away. He views the feelings as dangerous and worth avoiding. With the guilt, he feels he's unsure of how to act around Creed anymore.

Creed took a bullet for the man he loves. He would do it again if he had to. That's how much he cared for the damaged man, Alexi. With him getting injured it was like all the work he had done to get Alexi to open up was reversed. The sad part was Creed wasn't above forcing Alexi to see his feelings and be aware of his own.
