Mark is making his way to 0780 - A mostly desolate planet, mostly used for bandit gatherings, weapon markets and as a hiding spot for lots of criminals, with the hope of being able to gather a competent team to help him out in the hunt. On his way there though, his ship gets severely damaged when passing through a hard to detect a meteor belt. This makes Mark arrive on the planet with an already damaged ship. Not the most pleasant start.
