Tomorrow came quickly and as I braced myself for my mother's wrath. My mother never really liked Max, even when we were little she wasn’t a fan.  Max draped his arms around my shoulders and kissed the top of my head " You'll be fine " he said  as we got in the car. I sat silent in the front seat as his hand softly stroked my thigh.  A calming smile sat on his face and my world was at peace again… Well at least for a little while. I tried starting a conversation, “ Hey Max, did you know my brother’s getting out next month?”  He looked at the road nervously. “Is that right?” he said with a shaky voice. I noticed he was nervous so I dropped the conversation.  Max and my brother were best friends until the “incident ” after that everything changed

As we arrived at my mothers I let out a huge sigh that caught Max’s attention. “ Whats up babes?” he asked me with a concerning tone. “I'm just a little concerned about how my mom will react, you know her feelings toward you.” I replied. He started to look worried and I made sure he new it was going to be ok. As we walked to my Mom’s front door my stomach dropped and felt myself going down. The flashback starts.
