The Wolf Queen

Tidings of Greatness

Tidings of Greatness

Jun 11, 2021

Lagertha was sitting on Brant's bed and thought she had some things to explain to her friend. She stretches her arms for a few seconds and gets herself off the bed without Brant looking up. The only downside she had with a bunch of men was that sometimes their eyes deceive their vision by staring at women in a sexy way. Then, she walks over to her belongings and puts her brown long sleeve shirt back on. Thankfully, she was not being seen by Brant, but she would have liked to have a reason why he helped her go to bed.

A few minutes later, Brant opens his eyes and looks over to find out that Lagertha was no longer on his bed. It took a while for him to come back to his senses and understand everything around him. To his mere coincidence, he found her looking outside through his window, yet he was still trying to be fully awake. Lagertha turned around and watched him try to balance himself while sitting down behind his table. She could tell he was not in the state he was in when he invited her to his little home in the village.

"Is something wrong, Brant?" Lagertha asked. His eyes were now fixed upon her body, and he started having imaginary things he wanted to do with her.

His eyes were widely opened, but Lagertha was growing a little concerned about him; she started believing that the wine caused him to go uneasy with himself.

"Brant, is there something wrong? Are you feeling a bit under the weather?" She asked. No answer came out of Brant's mouth and nothing valuable seemed to have appeared before the Wolf Queen.

Then, she walked closer to him until her body was the only thing he could ever see. Brant's face became red, and he started blushing at the attraction and beauty Lagertha had in herself.

"If there's anything you need, I'll help," she said. And as she said that, Brant took a look at her breasts, and he saw them move up and down.

They usually do that if Lagertha is quickly walking somewhere and doing something that requires a lot of force. Then, Brant squints his eyes to be certain that he is not deceived by Lagertha's modesty. He then turns his face away from her and starts to think about something else, but it was difficult to view her the same way he used to. It was not as easy to give her a view like the last time where she was not masculine and bound by the blood of an elder wolf. Lagertha backs away from him, yet believed something was in his mind that she would like to know.

“Brant, are you sure you’re feeling alright? From the looks of it, I think it’s the wine you gave us. Are you certain you don’t need anything from me?” Lagertha asked.

“Oh, it’s nothing. It’s not like that. I’m just having these thoughts in my head,” he answered.

“You don’t mind telling me what you think about, right? I promise I won’t tell anyone,” she said.

“Nothing that important, Lagertha. However, I have been wondering where you might go. Because I have been deciding whether or not I should stay or leave here with you.”

“You swore an oath, haven’t you? You said to the leader of this village that you would protect and defend his people with your life. It’s truly something you can’t deny as a slayer of demons and a responsibility you can’t throw away. Such a burden will be on your shoulders for the rest of your life. But you don’t have to worry about me. I’m not seeking a home, and I don’t have the time to pay for a house to live in.”

“And that’s the point. I don’t want either of us to be separated ever again. Watching us leave after all the things we could’ve done together gave me as much anxiety as watching my own kingdom burn to the ground. I don’t want to live that life anymore. I don’t wish to be under royalty any longer. I don’t want to be remembered as a man who stood idly by and watched his own people suffer under the hands of an enemy who is impossible to defeat.”

Lagertha stood in front of Brant and began to think about the misdeeds that took place when her father learned the truth about his parentage. She wished she knew sooner about the true story of her family instead of being forced to never know anything about it. She looked at the demon hunter and walked over to him to cheer him up. Lagertha understood everything about the suffering they went through, but she taught herself to forget that horrid day. But Brant’s heart has always been heavy for his family, and he could never get many things out of his head.

Then Lagertha spoke with him, saying, “Listen, I need you to look into the future and not allow the past to consume you. Everyone who looks into their past and continues having horrible flashbacks are weak and weary. They will never recover. If you have something you need, you can tell me. Not everything needs to be kept hidden like our parents kept hiding things from us and lying to us. Let’s just forget those terrible days and talk like friends do.”

Brant took her words and kept them deep in his heart; he knew she spoke the truth about that time. The Wolf Queen always had sympathy for people whose hearts have grown heavy and for people who have stress in their lives. She had the power to change anything, but she never had the strength to change human nature. Brant looked up to her eyes another time and started thinking about something far different. He was more than prepared to share what he likes and doesn’t like around a person like Lagertha.

“Brant, do you need to tell me something? You’re giving me weird signals,” Lagertha said.

“Let’s see. I guess, you can come here for a moment,” Brant said. Though she had nothing else going on, she decided to do whatever Brant wanted her to do.

It was his apartment, after all; since he was the owner of this little house, Brant had no problem with wanting to share his affection.

“Lagertha, may… I touch you?” Brant asked.

“Oh, fine,” she said. Without hesitation, Brant lifted her hand and began taking a look while holding it.

Even though she fought the night creatures wherever she went, her hand was still soft and her body was still smooth. Her mind was enough proof to make Brant understand how serious she can get around others.

Remarkable. Not only does she smell so good, her hand still feels the same as the last we met. No, why am I thinking this way at a time like this? The wine hasn’t worn off. Have I gotten drunk like Lagertha? Brant thought.

Lagertha started being a little creeped out by the way Brant stared at her, and she made a few assumptions about him. She was glad to hear he is okay after not seeing him for a whole year, but she started seeing a pattern. She found herself drunk from the wine and went off to sleep, yet Brant became drunk as soon as he awakened from his nap.

Alright, one last thing. I have to confirm this, no matter the cost. Brant thought.

“Lagertha, may… may I touch your chest?” He asked.

“What?” She asked. Her head moved a few inches away from him, and her face started turning red from embarrassment.

“Brant, why should I let you fondle my boobs?” She asked again.

Then he answered her and said, “Come on, why tell about it if you’re not gonna live it? What’s the point of not wanting to know what something feels like if you already know what they are? Surely, there must have been a time where something extraordinary happened in your life. You tried so hard to get to that place and experience it for yourself. Ever had a time like that, Lagertha? I’m not afraid to tell you of my discoveries in places only one would find from a tale in taverns.”

At that moment, Lagertha assumed the things he found were for either some job he found or maybe it was from the things he found while hunting for some wild creature. She knew she allowed him to look at her body that one time, but she was not prepared to let Brant touch her for his pleasure. Both of them were still high on the wine, so she did not mind as much as other serious people during a situation. Without hesitation, she moves as close to Brant as possible until the only thing he could see is her front body.

“The next time I ask for a favor, you better say yes,” Lagertha said.

I AM THE TEETH IN THE DARKNESS. THE TALONS IN THE NIGHT.

One year has passed since Mephiles, the Demon Wolf, defeated King Harald and took his place as the king of Midland. Ever since then, the great evil that lurks on the earth has increased and multiplied. Instead of being an example to the people he swore to protect, Mephiles made them all fear him and know him as the only one who will save them. The cost will be high and the debt will be paid, but nobody knew who will be willing to take that chance. That is when Lagertha of Stockholm steps in.

Lagertha has the blood of elder wolves inside of her, and she wields the dark power that rivals her father's dark power. Not only does she hunt the night, but she also forms a relationship with a man she swore she will come back to. With him, they survive the sleepless nights and make promises that they might break in the future. Lagertha's only desire is to avenge her mother's death and either kill the Demon Wolf or save the man with whom the creature allied. From the writer of "The Demon Wolf" comes a new tale filled with sword-and-sorcery, romance, action, and horror.

The Wolf Queen is the second installment of the dark fantasy series, The Devil and the Huntsman.
