Despite Guerrea being the violent beast he is, he has a tender side. He doesn't show it often as he was brought up showing emotions makes you weak. This is conflicting to him as he wants to relinquish his violent behavior but it seems to be all he knows. The only carnos who see his tender side are his mate and daughters.

However most Carnos mistake peace as weakness or as a form of appeasement. Alwar, an adolesant carnotaurian, is conflicted on the idea. He was always told by his father to never act on his temper, yet he sees other Carnos using their temper to fend off other predators and succeeding. Alwar is put to the test when a larger predator threatens to take his land. He still by his fathers words but may have to go against them if he wants to survive.
