Trigger warning for mentions of Sexual Assault, nothing is described though.
Luna still had not gotten back to Slenderman about whether or not he wanted to join and his time off of work had expired. Luna had to work for a full month in order to make up for having a month off. while this was uncommon and unheard of for this particular hospital, Luna just happened to have a shitty boss who hated him for some unknown reason, hence why he made Luna work for a full month without a day off.
When he finally did get two days off in a row, he slept through both of them, though he wasn't stupid and did set his alarm so that he could and would get up in time for work the following day. Luna did all of this without too much complaining and to his surprise, after two weeks, his boss decided to be generous and gave him three days off. The first day, he just ate some food and slept, the second day he paid a visit to some friends and had lunch with them, and on the third day he decided to go flying. Using his magic he made himself a pair of dragon wings and hollow bones so that he could actually get off the ground.
As he was flying, the wind that whistled through his ear's carried with it the sound of someone crying somewhere to the left of him. Luna knew from past experience that following that type of sound could get him into dangerous trouble. The shape-shifter was kind hearted though and nothing in his gut told him something bad would happen so he banked left and flew onward. Ten minutes after changing direction saw him flying over a large lake that looked like a fat healthy python and was known as Slithering lake, for the fact that snakes of all types loved to fish for food here and are so used to people and other shape-shifters( which nearly matched the humans in Luna's city by number though they mostly stayed in animal form. It was safer.) that they would slither up to boats and picnickers and wait patiently for a hand out.
The only downside was that the snakes would bite or strike out at you if you didn't bring an offering(the venomous ones were the greediest and were more likely to strike if you didn't give them something.). Even if you were just sightseeing you needed an offering. Though you wouldn't be bombarded or anything, only one or two would come looking for hand outs. There was a large island towards the "Head" of the lake and that's where the majority of the snakes lived.Luna knew this and cursed silently for not bringing an offering. Almost the very minute he landed at the shore of the lake, three, thick bodied copperheads slithered up to him.
Luna's wolf ears twitched as they hissed softly and gazed expectantly at him. His magic translated their hissing into words. This feature was common among all shape-shifters. They said "Do you have food for ussss?" " I don't but if you give me a moment." He told them then snapped his fingers, a few seconds later three fat rats appeared before them. The snakes were surprised and confused but accepted their meal and Luna walked on toward the person or thing that was crying.
As he got closer to who was crying, a thick fog began rolling in. In a matter of minutes it had covered the entire lake, both shore lines, and Luna. The shifter groaned as the fog dampened his fur, hair, skin and clothes. Being wet was fine but being dampened and sticky like he was sweaty was not. Heaving a deep sigh, he continued forward. Soon enough he came across a girl sitting on the stump of a tree. She had dark hair in two twin-tails and bangs that covered half her face. She was wearing an old tattered blue school uniform. Luna noticed that she had scars and bruises on her body as well as a closed gash on her left thigh. Seeing all this, it registered in his mind that he was looking at a Creepypasta character named Lucille-Tiffany Greatfeild. A.k.a Lulu. The page of information on Lulu that Luna had read about flashed in his minds eye like this: 'Lucille(Lucy)-Tiffany Greatfeild was half Vietnamese, half Caucasian, she was home schooled and loved to read and be read to especially by her mother. When she was a teenager, her mother fell ill with cancer and passed away. This loss caused Lucy to become numb and cold towards her father and she lost herself in the books she'd read. Wanting to help his daughter, he enrolled her into a private all girls high school so she would have some female interaction. All this did was make her draw deeper into herself as well as draw the attention of the popular girl and school bully who tried everything she could to break Lucy.
Once becoming totally obsessed with her, the bully resorted to sexual assault. Lucy managed to escape the school and hide in the woods where she cried and wished her pain would stop. A "man" found her and told her he could take her pain away, she agreed. The "man" tricked her and took her eyes, claiming that if she couldn't see then she was no longer in pain. Doing this gave Lucy the unquenchable urge to take other peoples eyes while she searched for her own. She would lure people to her with her crying and the fog and then kill them and take their eyes. A human fell into her trap but escaped by scratching and bruising her, the only one to survive her murderous trap.' Swallowing thickly, Luna cautiously approached Lulu, very thankful that he'd been born male. "Uh...My name is Luna and I'm a shape-shifter, I'm not sure if you were told or not but Slenderman has asked me to join his little "family". I still have not decided if I want to though. I've met a few of the other's that he employs and I wasn't intending on meeting any today....I just wanted to go flying. I heard you crying and wanted to see if you were....Okay." Luna told her as he nervously ran a hand through his hair. "You're certainly an interesting one. To answer your question, yes, I was told about you and not to harm you. Lucky you." She said as she got up and moved towards him, she circled him a few times and once she was facing him again, she grinned. Without a word, she parted the bangs in her face and opened her eyes, immediately, blood began to pour from her eye sockets and run down her cheeks. "Boo!" She giggled, Luna had been expecting her to do that and he still jumped, thankfully he wasn't the type to strike out at someone when they did manage to scare him.
After composing himself chuckled softly. "Nice one, but even without your eyes, you're still beautiful." He told her kindly, this threw Lulu for a loop and she tilted her head before closing her eyes. "You are definitely a strange creature if you're calling me beautiful. So, why haven't you given your answer yet?" She asked as she went back to sit on the stump. Luna followed her and sat down in front of her. "A. It's a lot to think about and B. I work in a hospital and I can't exactly stop what I'm doing and come when he calls." He said as he combed his fingers through the fur on his tail. " Where in the hospital do you work?" Lulu asked as she watched him groom his tail. "I work with sick and dying children. Happily enough a good percent of the ones I help get to go home at the end of their treatment. Though it nearly kills me when others don't make it." There was sadness and grief in his voice when he said this, his ears drooping. He shook his head and made his mind focus on happier times and his ears soon perked up again. Lulu watched him in silence for a moment before getting up and bending slightly at the waist, reached out to Luna's head. " Can I touch them?" Luna blinked a few times not expecting that question from her but told her she could and so she did.
This was how Luna spent his last day off, sitting and talking with Lulu. Before he left, he dug out his own eyeballs and gave them to her. Surprised at this gesture, she took them to put them in a jar later on. When she asked why he'd done that willingly he simply told her, "I just didn't feel like dying today. I wish you luck in getting your eyes back." He smiled brightly at her and turned to leave. Lulu could use the fog she created to help her see so she wouldn't bump into anything or trip. Luna could follow his own invisible magic trail back to his apartment without needing his eyes to see the way. Luna had willingly given his eyes to Lulu because he that by the time his alarm clock went off the next day, a new pair of eyes would be in his empty sockets. It's one of the reasons why he didn't envy humans, they couldn't magically grow back limbs or organs but shape-shifters could. Once back in his apartment, he laid on his bed and wondered which Creepypasta character he'd meet next.
