Chapter 3:

The weekend had finally come around and Anna had asked Devin if he wanted to see the neighborhood. He had agreed and they planned to meet up at the school on Sunday evening. When they arrived at the school, Anna showed Devin the area. It was not long until they started talking and having a conversation together. When they were about to leave, Devin had asked, “Hey you wanna meet before school tomorrow to show me around the school?”. “Sure that would be nice,” said Anna. After that Anna and Devin had left.

It was Monday morning. Last night Anna had gone to bed awfully early. She didn’t want to be late to meet Devin. She hurried to school and they both met up at the same place as they did yesterday. She started showing him around the school and right before the bell rang, Devin had asked, “Hey wanna meet up sometime?”Anna was unsure but she knew that he was still new so she agreed and went to class. In class Devin and Anna had coincidentally been partnered for a project. Their teacher had been very strict so the project was due the same day as it was assigned because it was not that big. Devin and Anna had tried their best to finish it in class but they still had to do some editing and add some final touches. Devin had asked if he could come over to Anna’s house to finish the project after school but Anna knew that she had work right after school so she didn’t know what to do. She only came home at around 7pm which was a little late. She then thought that she could just take a day off and finish the project since it was due today and that it would not have been a big deal since it was just one day.

She then agreed and said to come to her house at 4 pm so that they would have about an hour to finish the project and that they would be done early. Once Devin came to her house they quickly started on the project. Once they were done Devin had come to realize that she was alone in the house. He asked Anna why she was the only one in the house but Anna was confused and nervous about what she would say. She thought that if she had told him the truth he would stop talking to her and that she would not have friends as usual. She lied and told him that she was the only one here because her parents lived in another country and that they used most of their money to make her come here and go to high school. “Oh that must be nice for you being alone here since you have no one bugging you right?” Devin said. “Yeah, it is peaceful to live alone,” said Anna. 

Later they started talking to each other not knowing what the time was. They then came to a thought of why it was dark outside, Devin had checked the time and freaked out, “Oh my gosh, it is already 11pm I better get going or I would be in trouble.” They said bye to each other and Devin left. Anna had also gone to bed since it was pretty late and she was tired.
