Blame the Three-Eyed Cąȶ

How Three-Eyed Cąȶ Meet Their Match

After Deity brought Death to Three-Eyed Cąȶ, they left to work.  Death and Three-Eyed Cąȶ watched each other without speaking for a long time.

“Would you like to play a game?” Three-Eyed Cąȶ finally asked.

Death said nothing.

“Do you know any games?” Three-Eyed Cąȶ asked.

Still Death did not speak.  Just as Three-Eyed Cąȶ became bored easily, so did they anger easily.  They began to hiss and yowl at Death, who still remained silent.

“You are boring!” Three-Eyed Cąȶ said.

Death tilted its head, but still did not speak.  Growing angrier still, Three-Eyed Cąȶ began to curse and pace around Death.  They knew they could not just leave Death since Death was a gift from Deity, but Three-Eyed Cąȶ didn’t understand why Death just stared at them and didn’t speak.  Finally, Three-Eyed Cąȶ tried to pounce on Death, but Death took one step to the side and Three-Eyed Cąȶ missed it.  Never before had Three-Eyed Cąȶ missed what they aimed at.  So, they tried again and again, but each time they missed Death. This continued for many hours and then many days until Three-Eyed Cąȶ grew tired.

Collapsing, Three-Eyed Cąȶ panted in exhaustion.  Death stood over Three-Eyed Cąȶ, silent.  It had not spoken once since Deity brought it forth.  As Three-Eyed Cąȶ stared into Death’s eyes, they realized something.

“Can you speak?” Three-Eyed Cąȶ asked.

Three-Eyed Cąȶ had never thought about the fact that Death had been Deity’s shadow. Shadows did not talk.  Death shook its head and Three-Eyed Cąȶ saw that Death was not rude, but that it could not talk.  Sitting up, Three-Eyed Cąȶ thought for a moment then pulled out their tongue, since they knew their tongue would grow back in few minutes.  Offering their tongue to Death, Three-Eyed Cąȶ waited.  Hesitantly, Death took the tongue and placed the tongue in its mouth.  When Three-Eyed Cąȶ tongue grew back and Death had its own tongue, Death spoke its first words.

“This tongue tastes like fur.”

Blame the Three-Eyed Cąȶ. That is what Alessandra had always been told to do when things went wrong. And how things went wrong. Taken from her home in the middle of one of the worst nights of her life, Alessandra, along with her best friend Kayla, find herself in serious trouble as a slave to be sold in a sadistic "most dangerous game"-type slave auction. As if being up for sale wasn't bad enough, Alessandra must find her way home while avoiding slave buyers and the terrifying Dominic Dúcái and irritatingly confident Cahan Jᴔnsa. If only blaming the Three-Eyed Cąȶ could solve Alessandra's problem and get her back home safely.
