Myanmar has suffered for many years under the rule of ruthless military dictators. There have been many oppressions, discriminations, killings and human rights violations. After years of endeavors, Myanmar was able to hold a democratic election in 2010. After almost 10 years of democratic Myanmar where Myanmar people could live a relatively peaceful life, the country has fallen under military rule following the coup on February 1st.
