Ingrid’s POV
I closed the book that I had just finished reading for the 7th time. It was a romance about some servant boy falling in love with his master’s daughter.
This novel is one of my favorites because of it’s ending. The book ends with the master killing the servant boy for loving his daughter. A harsh, but thrilling end. At least in my opinion.
I place the book back on the shelf with all the others. There are hundreds of books here in the castle. It's a small castle. The kingdom wasn’t very wealthy or strong. It wasn’t struggling, but it wasn’t thriving either.
My sister and I grew up here. Our family owned an orchard. We grew the most delicious apples in the whole kingdom. That's how Snow’s parents met. The king had wanted to order apples from our orchards. He met my sister and it was love at first sight. They got married soon after. The king let our family move into the castle after the wedding. Our parents were so proud of her.
Proud. They were always so proud of her. She could do no wrong. Me on the other hand, well let’s just say they weren’t so proud of me.
