a continuation of the simpsons episode "flaming moe" (s22e11)
smithers can't stop thinking about what happened that day at the courthouse, to the point it's distracting him from his work. when he goes to reconcile with moe, he learns the feeling is more than mutual. homer, lenny, and carl begin to wonder why their boss is hanging out at their bar again so often. marge is also there for moral support.
contains light swearing, themes of internalized homophobia, and alcohol use of course.
this comic will probably make 0 sense if you haven't seen the episode it's based off, (though personally, i'd recommend just looking up a summary and watching the last 3 or so minutes.)
many elements of this story are based off my own personal headcanons and theories about the characters, but I have made the attempt to remain as faithful to golden-era simpsons canon as much as possible while also taking some artistic liberties with the characters.
alternatively titled: springfield's 2 most miserable men finally get to be happy
