Welcome to Drift!
Aka: My excuse to learn how to create a graphic novel and ruminate on human nature without ever drawing a human! Winning!
In all seriousness, I hope that at least someone out there enjoys this little story. I'm honored that you are taking the time to check it out!
For now, you can expect updates every Monday morning. I hope to expand to more posts per week down the road, but I'm starting out slow to pace myself. It's my first time doing anything like this so I wanna make sure that I don't over commit (as I am prone to doing).

"Drift" attempts to look at the ways we humans navigate and process our experiences--all while running it through the filter of the animal world.
Telling this story with animals removes the visual cues of class, affiliation, ethnicity, economic status, nationality, etc. My hope is that this forces the reader to release personal bias and simply meet each character within their own context and hear what they have to say without preconceived notions.
But, let's be real--it's also just a good old fashioned animal adventure story.

"Drift" is half exploratory mental exercise and half excuse to draw lots of fun African animals while I learn how to make a graphic novel. :)
