These days, I can find several brands of Icelandic-style skýr in my local grocery stores, but back in 2012, I don't think I'd ever seen it before! I bet many folks have seen it and just figured it was some variety of Greek yogurt, or something like that.
It's actually a very low-fat, very smooth-tasting Icelandic yogurt made from skim milk, and it's sold in a variety of flavors. I personally don't really enjoy tart flavors, so I don't love Greek yogurt. But skýr is right up my alley!
