Working at the local convenience store is Kota's main source of income. One day while on the job, a large and precariously placed box falls on him and fractures his leg.
Unable to walk, and work, and pay his bills, Kota is found by the strange neighbor kid standing in frustration in front of his mailbox.
Out of nowhere, the neighbor kid attacks Kota and starts drinking his blood. Kota blacks out from the shock. But when he awakes, he finds himself at his neighbor's home; being cared for by the kid's father. He explains that they're vampires and would like Kota to care for his son who's still learning to control himself.
