“That’s too long,” I said after thinking about it. “Double the speed of my ‘assimilation’ for now until I say otherwise or if there is an emergency and you need to speed it up in order to keep me alive. Also put the percentage up where I can see it without blocking my line of sight and keep us out of sight while we’re traveling.”

     “Understood.” Samson replied. The aches sharpened as the robotic suit’s A.I. put the rising number in the upper right corner of my sight along with the estimated time until completion. He also started to use cover when he could after we left the protection of the forest and kept an eye out for people.

     “Come to think of it,what can you do?” I asked after doing a bit of thinking.

     “Running self assessment…” Samson answered.

     “Also don’t break stuff while traveling.” I told him when I saw him reach for a wooden fence.

     “Understood.” He replied as he altered our course to go around it. “Self assessment complete.”

     A list appeared in front of my eyes detailing what Samson was capable of. Strength, armor, and speed were all estimates as well as possible results of my enhancements. There was also medical and self repair functions in case of injury or damage. The medical ones had percentages of functionality next to them that gradually rose with Samson’s assimilation of my body. What really caught my eye were his active and passive camouflage capabilities and something that was labeled as item absorption and assimilation.

     “What’s this about you having camouflage and why aren’t you using it?” I asked.

     “My current power levels are at an estimated 30%. ‘Doc’ was unable to figure out how to effectively charge me while I was in standby mode. The majority of the 5% of what I had prior to now has been towards your on going assimilation. Usage of my camouflage would put further strain on it. It would also consume a large amount of processing power as well.” Samson explained.
