[Jarel Kingdom]
The knight would stand ready to lead Mallus's men to find the ones responsible but in order to do that they needed to know where to look. Contacting all Knight outposts to be on the lookout for citizens of Fur-ru Village as all of them were now wanted fugitives in the kingdom of Jarel. As the report would be heard it would just happen they would have been seen in the town taking shelter.
Not too far from their home village, Eastmoor Town...
Mallus would look towards his fallen knight, with a smile upon his face... "Go make yourself useful" commanded Mallus as he headed to his quarters to get some rest. The young knight knew he would sure be shamed forever if he failed or even worse killed by Mallus if he failed. This mission had to succeed, no matter the cost he needed to bring the villagers back alive to Mallus. Exiting the castle he would go to join Mallus's group of men he assigned in bringing them villagers in. As all the knights saddled up upon their horses, they would waste no time as they headed out for Eastmoor Town.
[Outskirts of Eastmoor]
Maple would continue questioning her grandmother for answers until a strong wind would brush past Maple. Causing her to stop moving and look behind her as something wasn't right as the wind carried a strong scent of steel.
"Come child we must.." called out Eris as she looked back towards her granddaughter as they looked back towards Eastmoor.
"There's something coming to bring harm to the people in Eastmoor" isn't it?" asked Maple. Eris couldn't lie to her granddaughter before she would eventually catch on that's just how Maple is.
Eris would begin to explain that within a few hour's men from the Jarel Kingdom would be here to capture the villagers that came in today leaving nothing in their path. If should people should interfere with them they shall be named for treason and taken to Mallus.
"There has to be something we can do to help them grandmother Eris, we cannot abandon them to this horrible fate" explained Maple as she began to grow very concerned.
"I will not allow this, do you think they would have come back for us if it were us in their shoes Maple" demanded Eris as she walked over towards Maple.
"I understand that, .. but even so, my dream is to be the one to bring peace to all the lands as the greatest witch this world has ever seen. It was at this very moment Eris's heart stopped as she saw the glow from Maple's face as it was just something about Maple that was truly breathtaking. Wasting no time Maple quickly changed her course and began to head back towards the town.
"Maple wait take this with you!" called out her grandmother as she reached into her back stopping Maple in her tracks.
" It's a grandparent to look out for their kids and grandchildren of the next generation" explained Eris as she pulled out a long cloth from her bag. Maple would carefully walk over to see what her grandmother wanted her to take with her. As Eris removed the blue wrapping a bright brand new magical steel staff would be revealed.
It was impossible for Maple's magic to be contained in a wand or a normal staff. So using every amount of money she earned went towards a magical tool in which her bright and loving granddaughter could use without it breaking.
Maple would hug her grandmother tightly, "Thank you, Grandma". As she rushed off back towards the villagers Eris would realize it was something she forgot t mention to Maple about the staff.
Back inside the town, the knights would begin to exit to seal off three of the entrances leading into the town by closing their gates.
The sound of the gates closing would quickly awake Kyanite with her animal-like instincts. Climbing to the top of the tree to get a better view she would take notice of the knights sealing off the town.
"What's going on here questioned" questioned Kyanite before picking up galloping horses far off in the distance. As I slept peacefully on the suddenly feel a shape pain, opening my eyes to Kyanite has dropped from the trees upon me.
"GGAAAHH!!" I quickly grab my stomach and begin to roll in pain off the wagon.
"What do you think you were doing just laying right there!" asked Kyanite as she pushes herself up from the ground.
"I was trying to sleep whatever did I do to you?"
"Please if you're here to eat me just know I'm not that tasty" I would explain to her as I continued holding my stomach".
"What on earth are you talking about I'm saving your life" replies as she suddenly pushes my body to the ground.
"OWWW, what is your problem, look I get you don't like me but come on" I would explain.
"Be quiet" demanded Kyanite as she pointed towards what the knights were doing in the town. As the knights finished securing everything they began to make their way over towards the inn in the center of town.
"What's going on?" I asked
"Well just maybe it would seem your witch may have been right about her predication" explained Kyanite. Hearing those words meant nothing but bad news to me, it was all I thought about all day long just to turn out to be true!
"Kya you have to help them" I would tell her as she would turn to face me.
"Weren't you listening to me earlier, wait, Kya whose that?" she would ask looking confused.
"You, it's you it's just your name in a shorter-term" I would explain to her.
"Don't call me that my name is Kyanite" she would demand. Arguing with Kyanite wasn't going to really get us anywhere. I would begin to try and persuade Kyanite to at least try and save them. After all, Felix although he may not be family to her he is the closest thing to her at this point in time.
"Fine whatever I'll do it!" answers Kyanite as she puts on her serious face then proceeded to ask "What was my plan"?
"My plan?" I would ask.
To be honest I really didn't have one I was just hoping that maybe she could just you know save them like she did last time. She was right though if we were going to try and get out of this alive we were going to need a plan, a good one.
This inn had three floors of rooms, with Kya's abilities I thought it would be best for her to start on the higher floors and work her way down waking the villagers from Fur-ru village to assist her in freeing the others. The only problem was that none of them really bothered to help her before so why would they help her now.
"Well, any ideas?" asked Kyanite as she looked towards me as I thought sadly there was only one thing to say.
"Give it your all, you have to find Felix before they get them all to convince the others to help" I would reply giving her a thumbs up. Upon quickly agreeing to it Kyanite quickly took off running towards the sealed gate as two knights stood guard on the other side. As she got closer to the gate she would leap into the air jumping over the tall wooden gate, striking down the two knights as she landed driving her claws into the back of them.
The knight standing outside the inn door would turn to spot Kyanite as she charged towards him coming in for a homing attack with her front flip dive kick sending the knight crashing into the inn's hardwood by the entrance before she charged inside.
As I stood in the forest I couldn't believe I just sent that girl heading into their all alone with no backup against a bunch of knights who are out to get us. How could I just stand here and do nothing, there must be something I can do to help or assist. It was at this moment I remembered she just took out two knights dressed in armor and having weapons.
"Oh no what I am I thinking this is no game, this is real life, If I die it's all over for me!" I would say to myself as I stood there debating if I wanted to go or not.
[Flashback]
"That's enough, leave him alone" demands young Zach.
[Present]
That's right, I cannot allow myself to be that scared little kid anymore, I have to become strong. So that next time, I can be that kid who stands up for those who can't defend themselves.
"I can do this...I hope" I would tell myself as I try to gather my strength and courage. As I ball my fist up and take a deep breather, I charge in to help assist Kyanite and the others.
