This resonates with me since the character I play in my current game was conceived as the polar opposite of the stereotypical dark, brooding edgelords. So I made a optimistic, lawful good, seventeen year old aasimar priestess of Pelor who wants to make the world a better place. The party wizard is fond of calling her a "magical girl" because of her sparkly eyes and tendency to assume an angelic form (Radiant Soul) in battle. The campaign can get a bit dark at times, which presents some challenges to roleplaying as an anthropomorphic ray of sunshine but she's probably the most enjoyable character I've ever played.
